Thanks for the feedback YCM .  Let us all know what the ragu is like.  It's always nice to receive feedback.

Feedback for the jackfruit - we won't be having it again!!!!  In fact neither of us ate it tonight, although it didn't help that I put too much chilli in it so it was really hot, even with yoghurt stirred through it!  I ended up with a bowl of melon balls which were in the fridge with some yoghurt and DH had a couple of cheese sandwiches!  I suspect I may well need the Alpen Light later LOL!

I am not a fan of jackfruit either. I really wanted to like it, but just don't!

    Evening.

How do we put pics on here these days  B)
I have had a super busy day today. I did a 3k run in the morning, then a bike ride with the kids in the afternoon, and I have done so much tidying, runnning around to shops, fixing things etc it is unbelievable.. I have barely sat down all day!
I made myself a big bowl of berries and fat free yoghurt and had planned to have half after lunch, then the other half after dinner... I ate it all at lunch- whoops.
    So today:
    B - Banana
L - Tuna salad, berries and yoghurt
    D curry/rice/veg
Syns - choco break. Fox's triple bar (10 syns) I haven't actually eaten these yet, but had no syns yesterday and have had none today, so think I should have some... maybe?? What do you think?

Wow redmel. You've done really well with all the batch cooking. No problem having a big bowl of berries and yogurt. You need the energy being so busy all day. 😁 You've got enough syns to use 10 on a chocolate bar if that's what you want. You won't lose more by cutting out syns, they're part of the plan. Were you saving them for anything in particular? 🤔

No, I wasn't saving them. I just feel guilty eating eating them. I always did, even years ago when I followed the plan. (I found my old mags and a few books and it was 2011 when I did it last lol) I know the whole point of the is to not feel guilty.

I'm just researching my next big batch to cook. I think it is supposed to be hot tomorrow, so we might have a BBQ. I need to check the best things to have.

Please don't feel guilty about using your syns.  If you don't want to use them daily then do what a lot of us do which is to use them weekly!  So if you want to have a few drinks one night then no reason why not, it's what I (and Maman seem to do on a regular basis! and probably others too!).

For your BBQ just think about using lean meats like:  steak, pork steaks, lamb leg steaks, chicken breasts plus various veg; we had a BBQ last night and I made skewers of peppers, onions, mushrooms & tomatoes to go with it plus a big bowl of salad.  You could also do things like low fat sausages and burgers.
