That's a good idea maman.  Will copy that but not this week!  Not got any instant mash left!  Going to use breadcrumbs and syn them as having toast at lunchtime.

Must add instant mash to my shopping list for the weekend.

Glad to hear you won't lose the gas bubbs.  That's a great price and certainly a lot cheaper than Calor charge for the small bottle which are used in a motorhome or caravan!  The last one I bought was for my DD2 about 5 years ago and that cost over £40 but that included the rental.  I think the refills are about £26 - that's for a 6 Kg size (12 litres so over £2 ppl!).

It might have been a weird breakfast but did you enjoy it?  As long as you did it doesn't really matter!  Personally I think I'd of had that for lunch and the omelette for breakfast!

KFC is back on the menu next month - tomorrow in fact!  Hopefully DH won't moan tomorrow but we haven't had chicken for quite a while now so no reason why he should - but we'll see!

Yes we used to have a portable gas fire and it was £38 about 2 1/2 yrs ago for 15kg refill

I didn't have time for that at breakfast  yes i did enjoy it :D, as dh didn't start till 8, i had to pop asda to get some rolls, so by the time i was home it was nearly 9 and had to put washing in and go to my friends to drop off her shopping , then make sure i had left them by 11.15 to go and pick DH up at 12 🙄

Quite a hectic morning by the sounds of it bubbs!  Glad you enjoyed your breakfast.  Having said that we didn't have breakfast until gone 9 today but I made sure I got the washing on before we ate!

I'm ashamed to say I forgot I'd put whites in the WM this morning. Currently in the tumble dryer and to hell with the expense! 🤣

I like the Tesco cheapo instant mash and it's easier to make the KFC topping from a whole 120g pack. I have it on my list, along with wine stock cubes, as I don't go to Tesco very often. ☺️

Even with hanging washing out maman I still had to resort to using the tumble dryer but at least it wasn't for as long!

I usually buy my instant mash from Tesco as that's my local SM, although I prefer to go to Lidl in the town in the opposite direction to get most of my shopping.  Will be going this weekend as I also want more yoghurt and quark for next week and we like the Tesco ones.  Must check whether I need any more wine stock cubes but think I'm OK at the moment!

Wonder if we'll get lots of new people in the New Year like happens in groups usually!

How do you make the kfc. It sounds lovely.
im definitely having a fresh start from Monday....I’ve decided to get in touch with my consultant and ask if I can send my weight in each week without zooming- I’d rather give the money to her than just go on line. That way I’ll get the internet. I’ll get a 12 week countdown and call target at the end of the 12 weeks.....

    January spends - £587.58

You really need to do the countdown today to get the old price before it goes up tomorrow :(
I use instant mash, paprika, garlic granules mustard powder and black pepper, you need alot of each. Dip the chicken in beaten egg, then in the dry mixture, but on a frlylighted tray and then spray the chicken, cook for 15 odd mins, take out turn it over and spray again, back in till cooked. I use thighs as don;t find it as dry

    Definitely!

I've never really thought about whether or not I do washing on New Year's Day - I've just never been conscious about it so I might have done in the past but no idea if I'm honest!  Shan't be doing any tomorrow though but no doubt there will be another machine load over the weekend sometime!

Morning all, it's absolutely freezing here this morning.  I ended yesterday on 14.5 syns as had a couple of glasses of wine and a brandy to toast in the new year (about an hour early as we wanted to go to bed, LOL!).

    Today's plan:

    B - veggie omelette - P; S; F
    L - Welsh rarebit - HEA; HEB; P; F
    D - KFC, corn on the cob, chips & beans - P; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
Syns - weekend wine (finishing the bottle as DH didn't like it so only had one glass) 15

    Happy New Year everyone.
