Hey, I hope everyone is keeping well during lockdown.
I hope no one minds me crashing in and introducing myself  :) I've done SW twice before, first time was 12 years ago and it was only red/green days then, second time was a few years later and EE had been introduced. I'll admit I didn't seem to do so well on EE, but I don't think my mindset was right at the time.

Anyway, after losing nearly 3st last year doing intermittent fasting and low carb, I seem to have come to a massive standstill. I'm not losing, not gaining... So I have decided to come back to SW to see if that helps. I took up running this year and find that Low Carb was leaving me pretty lethargic for running, so I'm hoping eating a few more carbs on the SW plan will help me improve my runs. I will be doing it from home, and my sister has given me her books (she got them in December, so they are new).

I started today, but A, forgot to weigh in. B, have a ton of junk food in (although that probably won't change much while coronavirus is still knocking about, and C, I had already planned to trial a new cocktail tonight (sex on the beach) so orange juice and cranberry juice will be consumed, of which I usually drink neither. Usually I drink rum or gin with diet mixer.

I just want to check what I have had is ok
2 x eggs scrambled, 2 rasher of bacon fat removed.
Jacket potato with beans (no butter)
HM curry, using tinned toms and curry powder, served with mixed veg (frozen aldi stuff) and a small portion of rice.
A banana - which I am devastated to read is now 4syns!! Gutted!!

Fingers crossed I can get the rest of this flubber off.
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

Thanks for the recipe! Chicken kebab is a good idea, thank you. I am a shocker for emotional eating and wife usually caves in and the pair of us sit there wishing we hadn't after! Useless!
Planning is key to SW!  I'm one of those people who like to know what they're going to be eating for the rest of the month!  I know that's difficult for a lot of people but for me it's key!  I've tried just doing it weekly but it just doesn't work for me.

We hardly ever have takeaway but when we do it tends to be a chicken kebab for me and DH usually has a doner as he's happy with his weight (most of the time!).

Congratulations on your half stone shiny YCM
I make a baked corned beef hash with horseradish which is yum. I'll post a link to the recipe tomorrow as can't do it from my phone.😊

I am not a member, so am having to google for syns/free food etc. I read that bananas now have syns.. I will be doing cartwheels if they don't.
Yeah, I don't have much in at the minute as doing V. low carb a lot of veg/fruit is off the menu, so I will need to get to the shops this week and buy a few bits.
I have been trying to keep my water intake up. I don't always manage the 2l, but am doing my best.

    Welcome redmel. 🙂
The basics of SW is a balance between lean protein, carbs and speed (fruit and veg) plus your syns, HEB (bread) and HEAs (cheese and milk). Like bubbs said, your menu is very short on Speed (just tomatoes and mixed veg). You should try to have at least a third, preferably more, of all your food as Speed. This could be as meals or snacking on fruit. 🙂
