I hardly ever found the prices on MySupermarket right for when I went shopping!  There is certainly a North South divide on prices.  I know when I've been on holiday further North the prices have been cheaper and suspect that's still the case.  It certainly seems like it.  The cauliflower in Morries today were tiny and they still wanted £1.20 for them, no way would I pay that, would only have been enough for one meal.

Been using Morries and Iceland lately.  Hardly ever use Sainsburys and only use Aldi occasionally so not been in either.  Tesco is too busy in my area as it's the main SM and where everyone who doesn't drive uses.  Queues are horrendous.

Morning all.  Looks to be a nice day again and not too cold.  No washing to do today, for a change!

Just had breakfast, put dishwasher on and now having a coffee before I get on with some housework.

Finished yesterday on 15 Syns which I'm happy with - could have been much worse!

    Plan for today:

    B - mushroom omelette - P; S
    L - corned beef & tomato roll - HEB; S; 2 syns
    D - vegetable curry with chickpeas & rice - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - roll
Syns - corned beef 1.5; LTL mayo instead  of spread 0.5

I bought a pineapple and was planning on doing the same but unfortunately it's ripe enough yet!  So I've just had a satsuma even though breakfast wasn't that long ago!  I can see it being a hungry morning today; glad I went shopping yesterday and bought some more fruit.

Had watermelon a few weeks ago.  I love it but it's not something I buy very often as I can eat most of it in one sitting!

Pleased with myself yesterday. I put my shopping off until today to ward off that weekend feeling and it worked. I had a syn free day yesterday. I'm obviously a creature of habit and moving my shopping day to Thursday hadn't helped. I'll probably have to queue more today but it's worth it.

I find water melon tasteless but I did notice that Galia was on offer in Lidl. I won't bother going there though. I went to stock up on cornichons and DH's muesli the other week  and they only had 2 checkouts open. The cashiers thought they were doing well as queues inside the store were tiny. They should have looked out of the window and seen the queue all round the car park.

What was the slow cooked cottage pie like denise? Did you prefer it to mince? I sometimes make chunky chilli like that, especially if I get some YS diced beef.

Not exactly sure what to have for lunch but I'll have done my shopping by then so might change my mind. I fancy a JP but it'll depend on how big the potatoes are, lots of small ones in last week's bags.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), scrambled eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
    L- sardines (P) and pickles (S)
D- Fake KFC (P), SW chips (F), mushrooms, tomatoes and green stuff (S)
Syns- HP sauce 1, weekend wine!
