Ohhh i had a lucky escape today!
Went to the shed and the freezer door wasn't shut properly 😱😱but because it's so cold there was only a pkt of bacon defrosted , phewww!! but that made me get my backside in gear as the ice had built up at the bottom and i had been ignoring it, so i went and got the hairdryer and defrosted  it and a great big sheet of ice came out

You're lucky it's a good time of the year for the freezer. Thank goodness that didn't happen in the summer bubbs. 😊

My consultant texted me today to say that face to face meetings are back on from this Thursday. I think there is a choice if you want to carry on remotely but she knows I'd rather weigh in group. I'll go and face the music, fully expecting to be over and we're out for a meal this weekend so unlikely to get it sorted within grace week. I won't mind though because she's a good sort and I won't mind paying when/if I have to.

I bought a couple of parsnips while I was out so will make a vegetable soup. A bit like yours bubbs but with beef. I know parsnips are only free but I prefer the flavour to swede in soup. I'll add potato too so it'll be about 50% Speed with the onion, leek and carrots.

Lucky to a get a few YS bits in Sainsbury's, all half price, smoked salmon fillets x 2 and some 5% mince. 😉

maman I always add parsnips and swede when I do casseroles, stews and root veg soup - with or without meat.  I never add potato though.  We prefer to have mash with it.  I don't do boiled potatoes much at all as DH always mashes them so I might just as well do proper mash (well SW proper mash with an egg!).

Well done on your YS bits!  I never seem to get anything decent YS when I go shopping; I just don't time it right.  Might try and get to Lidl early enough for a £1.50 box this week if I can but not sure yet.

I'm going to weigh myself Thursday morning and then decided whether this week is going to be the week I text my consultant or whether I'm going to leave it another week!  Don't really want to leave it any longer as I'm pretty sure I'm going to be starting on the Christmas stuff after that - still no eating out allowed here unfortunately and to be quite honest I can't see it being allowed again until probably February!  Unfortunately there are too many people in my area not sticking to the guidance, ie not social distancing, not wearing face coverings in shops, households mixing - driving me and DH up the wall to be honest.

bubbs good job you actually went down to your freezer otherwise things could have been so much worse!  I tend to go outside to mine most days so it gets checked frequently!!!

I just used that for the soup as went in Asda yesterday and great big pack reduced to 29p  so didn't even have to chop, only onions and leeks. I like parsnips hubby don't.
Not letting the rooms open with some of my consultants groups, so she put on FB will weigh in her conservatory for those local to her tomorrow 🤥

I know i was lucky! but been minus here the last few days , summer would have been 😥😥😥

Wow!  lucky you - I just never get those bargains!  So are you going to weigh or not bubbs?  Not sure I'd want to go to my consultant's house - in fact it's not going to happen 'cos we're not allowed to go into each others houses at the moment being in Tier 3!

We're not allowed in Tier 2 either but it might be different for a business /work. A bit like having trades in but in reverse?? 🤔

maman you wanted to know how the naked burrito went - well it was OK but to be honest I'd rather have the steak with some chips, onions & mushrooms!  The steak was perfectly cooked though - rare just how we like it!

Thanks denise. I'll stick with the steak and chips then. 😋
