TakeItEazy said:1 week to go 🥴 oh must tell you this, my sendco suggested as I was only isolating I could team video with his nibs during the last week, !!!!!! cheek or what 😤
I do quite like Christmas cake bubbs but i won't be making or buying any as I'd just have to eat it! My plan is to buy a Christmas pudding and probably a Stollen . I like the wetness of Christmas pudding and DH really likes Stollen so he'll eat that up quickly. I've bought my own favourite Christmas chocolates and will ask DH what he'd like specially, if anything. DH is cutting back on sweet stuff and drinks at the moment but I don't think he'll do that over Christmas. I'm going to buy myself some cheeses too. I'm resigned to putting on a few pounds over the holiday because I know I'll get back on plan afterwards.
You've got me counting Speed too denise. 😀 Just in my lunch, I put 6 in my omelette plus 2 pickles with it. I'll cook some extra veg to go with the curry, partly to up the Speed but also to stretch it out a bit. It's one of those portions which is a bit big for one person but not really enough for two. I need to check the curry ingredients. I know it's basically chicken, tomato sauce and spices but not sure if any Free carbs in there too, probably potato starch??
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, skinny syrup, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA milk, raspberries (S)
L- veggie omelette (P,S), ham, cottage cheese (P), pickles (S)
D- Aldi Slimwell curry , SW chips, HM pilau (F), extra veg (S)
Syns- curry 1, weekend wine 😋

The challenge does help me as I know I don't have enough Speed foods generally. How on earth did you get 6 veg in your omelette? The most I ever seem to get is onion, tomato & mushroom!
I've got the stew (well casserole really) in the oven and it's beginning to smell really good. I'm going to cook it for about 4 hours so hopefully the meat will be really tender. Used a red wine stockpot in it as didn't want to open a bottle of wine or I'd end up drinking the rest of the bottle because DH is on beer at the moment so wouldn't share it with me!

I used some chopped up asparagus, mange tout and broccoli LO from last night plus mushrooms, courgette, tomato. Probably only the mushrooms were a full portion by 5 a day rules but with the pickles I was absolutely sure I had well over a third Speed on my plate, probably more like half.
I notice you used shin for your casserole denise. I used to buy that for making beef stew but it's hard to come by in supermarkets. I looked in Asda just the other day. I expect that's one benefit of a local butcher. 😊1 -
I don't actually get the shin from my local butcher but from the butcher in the next town which is where I have to go for Lidl, M&S, The Food Warehouse and Sainsburys. They sell online too if you're interested - it's www.rooksonline.co.uk. No idea if there's a minimum order as never needed to use it.
I use shin when I make my Cornish pasties to take on holiday too - it's the best meat for them but you need to cut it in really thin slices so that it cooks properly.

Much brighter here today. I'm sure the golf will be far better than when it poured with rain denise! We've booked a National Trust property later in the week and deliberately gone for a late slot as there are Christmas lights in the gardens.
I'm not sure how this week is going to work out (or next). I think I'll have to fall back on 'Be good when you can'. Were going to a funeral tomorrow, an old friend died suddenly. The 'wake' was booked anticipating we'd be back in Rule of 6 for 30 people. It's still 30 for a funeral but now it's 15 for a wake although it's in a pub so technically open to anyone.🤔 I don't want to bother the family asking for details so we'll play it by ear. It's not local so we'll have to eat something at some point.
I only cook sprouts once a year for DH bubbs. 😉
Today's EE plan-

Sorry to hear about your friend
The lady i am going to see tomorrow whose Mum died, said there no no wake, no singing and masks had to be worn
We love brussels 😋😋😋 so even though poor DH likes them he can't have them any other time of the year 😂😂😂Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:1 -
Thanks bubbs. There was no wake when I went to Kettering for my uncle's funeral but it was a brilliantly sunny day so we could stand outside and chat afterwards. That day I took my own SW friendly food and stopped for coffee in a service station. I think it's a bit cold for a picnic.1

Sorry to hear about your friend maman.
You were right about the golf being much better today than it was on the range the other day in the rain, although the course was very boggy in places. Didn't play particularly well but not surprising really because we've not played much over the last 10 years because of all the operations DH has had during that time which meant he couldn't play. We've booked to play again Wednesday morning. Hopefully it will have dried out a bit by then as it's not forecast to rain before then, although there is a small chance of a shower overnight tonight.
We love Brussels too bubbs but we're quite happy to eat frozen ones throughout the year.
Decided to use a few more syns on a couple of rum & ginger beers and DH is going to have a couple of beers.1
