I think I'm going to start having to have my dinner earlier as looking at your meals makes me hungry bubbs. 😋
Dinner was a bit earlier when I was going out in the evenings but dancing has moved to daytime now and not sure we'll go out for dinner with a 10 pm curfew. ☹️
That's a lot of chips for you. 🤣2 -
Thanks for the recipe ruby. It sounds really good so I've added the recipe to my other SW recipes.0

Morning all! Dinner looks good bubbs - mine ended up being some Ikea meatballs and fries scoffed down in the car at 8pm last night. DH decided we absolutely had to go so he could pick up some storage bits and pieces and it would have been too late to eat by the time we got home. Fries actually made me feel a bit queasy so guess I'm losing my taste for fried stuff at the moment which is a good thing
Had to get dressed up for a work call this morning (which actually ended up being cancelled...) but I managed to get into a size 8 dress and it has a bit of room to it! The last time I wore it was a year ago when I was about 10lbs lighter so the fact that it fits and feels comfortable shows that the exercise is helping even if the scales aren't showing it.
Plan for today was overnight oats for breakfast again, the second part of my chicken cauliflower salad thing for lunch and then aubergine parmigiana for dinner (making a double batch so I can have it again later on in the week). Hope you all have a good day, I'm off to change into my comfy clothes now I don't have to go on camera for my calls today.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20171 -
Definitely a great NSV ruby. You must be tiny if you get into a size 8! When I was a size 8 (in my 20s) I weighed about 6.5 stone! Definitely more a size 10-12 now weighing a couple of stone more but think I'd look scrawny at size 8 now I'm nearer to 70!
Had to go and get my eyes tested this morning and it's just as well I did as it turns out I shouldn't be driving with my current glasses! Fortunately I haven't done much driving over the last 6 months or so anyway as DH generally drives everywhere.
Today's Green plan:
B - baked oats, grapes, Greek yoghurt - HEB; P; F
L - carrot & lentil soup - P; S; F
D - vegetable & lentil curry/rice - P; S; F
S - Ryvita; Primula Light
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - Primula Light
HEB1 - oats
HEB2 - Ryvita
Syns - none planned
If any of you shop in Tesco they have the Primula Light as one of their Clubcard prices @ £1; cabbage @ 39p. They were the only things I picked up with had Clubcard prices so no idea what else is included as I just stuck to my shopping list.

That's a good offer on the Primula denise but I have plenty left from Iceland at the moment. Unfortunately it's not the light one but I rarely use a full HEA anyway. I find 2 good tbsps is enough for the garlic mushrooms or Stroganoff (between 2 of us) so I also grate a bit of Parmesan in as well to give more cheesy flavour.
Interesting what you said about fries ruby. I was wondering last week whether I'd really enjoy a fish supper as much as I've been imagining. 🤔 Brilliant NSV with the size 8. 😁
I'm dancing again this afternoon. We've had to find different venues and change the classes to daytime as we normally meet in a school and they don't want us at the moment. I'll have to have an early lunch to get there in time. I plan to call into Sainsbury's (nearby) afterwards and buy some bits for stew!😁 I've got LO beef for tonight's dinner so I'm going to keep a few bits to make my stew. My mother often used cooked beef left from the Sunday roast so it should work. All I really want is loads of vegetables and the beef flavour.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), scrambled eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- ham (P), fried veg, beetroot and coleslaw (S)
D- LO beef (P), LO HB gravy, mash (F) , carrots, greens (S)
Syns- HP sauce 11 -
Left over cooked beef should definitely work in a stew; I've done chicken casserole using left over chicken, although that can be a bit stringy.
I always add a beef stockpot and a couple of beef stock cubes to a stew to increase the beefiness so you can get away with less meat too!
I don't use the full HEA when I have the Primula on Ryvita just a couple of teaspoons on each. Think I may well pick up another couple of tubes next time I go shopping as they have a long use by date on them (middle of next year! - makes you wonder what they put in it to keep it fresh so long!). May well do some creamy garlic mushrooms as well although they aren't actually not he plan but would make a change from jacket potato which I seem to have added quite a bit this month for some reason!

Wish I was tiny denise, alas I think it's more to do with a generous size 8 than anything else
Currently weigh 10st 12lbs but apparently should be about 9st 7 according to my consultant to help my arthritis. I'm also only 5ft 2 so definitely could do with losing a bit more.
I think I've just gone right off "bad" food maman - I have two orange twirls sitting in the cupboard which have been there for about 3 weeks and I haven't felt the urge to touch them. Have no idea what's going on in my head but hopefully it continuesEmergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20172 -
I'm even shorter than you - barely 5'1". Everybody seems to think I should be wearing no more than size 10 but looks are deceiving and size 12 is definitely more comfortable unless it's a generous size 10, LOL!
I don't enjoy chips, except the SW ones I make myself. When we eat out I try to get either plain boiled or jacket potato. I certainly didn't enjoy the fish & chips I had Saturday night at my friend's house.
I can have chocolate in the fridge for weeks on end without touching it but once opened it usually only lasts a few days but as it's bitter dark chocolate I certainly don't eat loads in one go but seem to want to eat it every night until it's gone once it's opened. Weird really!
