Good morning everyone, a brand new week
. No rain here this morning, giving the ground a chance to absorb what has fallen in the last few days
. Am absolutely over the moon to report a loss of 5.5lbs after WI at home first thing, I ended my week on 70 syns, recording everything. So shall carry on like this for the foreseeable. Has given me a big mental boost that I CAN do this without going to Group, saving me £4.95/week as well
. Perhaps I’ll spend that on the new SW book
. Made some rice pudding in the SC yesterday and had some for breakfast just now, was a first for me and made a nice change. Hope you all have a good day.

Morning all!
Well done on an amazing loss PIB!
All the stew talk has me wanting to make some now but I've already meal planned for the week. Had a really nice beef roast yesterday with some meat left over which DH has claimed for his lunches over the next few days. Was nice to have something comforting after 2.5 days of rain!
Reporting a STS this week weight wise but I have lost another 1.5 inches off my waist and an inch off my hips so happy about that. Ticked another workout off the list this morning even if I just wanted to stay in bed. Had porridge with raspberries this morning and planning on trying out this chicken and cauliflower middle eastern warm salad for lunch and then good old homity pie and LM red onion and rosemary sausages for dinner. Hope you all have a good day.

Brilliant loss PIB, well done. Definitely helps writing everything down, even after 10 years I still do!
ruby great NSV! Sometimes losing inches is better than losing weight. You're doing well with the workouts. What's the chicken and cauliflower Middle Eastern warm salad?
DH had a hospital appointment this morning for a scan, said he should get the result in a few days but we shall see. He has a telephone appointment with the consultant at the end of the month so will find out if there is anything else which can be done for his sinus problem!
It's been raining here this morning but was actually forecast to be dry all day! It's stopped now and trying to brighten up a bit but it is cold.
Damage limitation from today until Wednesday after far too many syns yesterday.
Today's plan:
B - Porridge, mixed frozen fruit - HEB; S
L - jacket potato; cottage cheese; salad; coleslaw (made with yoghurt); pickled onions) - F; P; S; F
D - LO roast pork, chips, beans
HEA - milk
HEB - ? May have a couple of Ryviat with Light Primula which would be part 2nd HEA
Syns - none planned3 -
Thanks denise. Hope your husband can get some help with the sinus issues, I know how uncomfortable things like that can be.
Lunch was amazing, didn't get a chance to take a photo but the recipe from something I saw on instagram is:
- Roast cauliflower and chickpeas in the oven at 220 degrees for about 25 minutes (I used frozen cauliflower and about a third of a tin of chickpeas per portion). You're supposed to coat them in Ras al Hanout but as I don't have that I made my own version with some cumin, smoked paprika, turmeric, cinnamon and garlic powder
- Grill chicken and peppers (again I used a handful of frozen peppers and half a chicken breast per portion, which I fried in frylight)
- In a big bowl add a handful of spinach (or any other green leafy vegetable, I just used some mixed leaves) and some pomegranate seeds (I used about 50g). Once the chicken, peppers, cauliflower and chickpeas are done, throw them into the bowl and mix it all together and enjoy
Made enough of the hot stuff for another portion tomorrow which I'll just chuck in the oven for 10 minutes or so to warm through before assembling.

Wow PIB! That's an amazing loss. Well done you. 😁
Good idea to take measurements as well as weighing ruby. It could be the workouts that are helping you lose inches rather than pounds but that should settle. Lunch sounds amazing, thanks for sharing the recipe.
I feel for your DH denise. While not serious, my sinuses play up with changing air pressure so I've woken up with a headache for the last few days.
I'm going to count all 1.5 syns for the bowl of coleslaw I made yesterday in today's total although will eat it a bit at a time. Tonight's salmon is flavoured so it has 2 syns but at half price I'm not complaining. I'll have 11 syns left after today which would normally be fine but I'm going out for lunch on Wednesday. Treats are few and far between at the moment so I'm happy to go over syns and start again on Thursday. I think I can choose food wisely but maybe not wine. 😉
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, skinny syrup, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA milk
L- ham (P), fried potato (F), fried veg, coleslaw, beetroot (S)
D- baked salmon (P), SW chips (F), broccoli, carrot chips, mushrooms, tomato (S)
Syns- coleslaw 1.5, salmon 21 -

Maintained this week! First time since I started it wasn’t a loss, I still had the reins relaxed this weekend. Made a roast chicken dinner on Saturday night as the weather was so horrid it felt right. So roast potatoes, roast chicken, lashings of gravy, peas, yorkies and cheesy leeks, was divine. Left overs yesterday (after reading your posts about yorkies i dont feel so bad) i havent actually worked out my syns for the cheese sauce yet)
Back fully on track today and started the day with the usual cereal, followed by half a bachelors savoury rice, with chicken, celery, spring onion and a stick of celery. think it may be cajun dirty rice tonight but will decide after a very soggy dog walk by the looks of things|!
I have meal planned through to Saturday night so im hoping for a good loss this week - food diary has arrived so will crack on with that.

I’ve stayed as close to plan as I can. Went to ds yesterday and had hm lasagne - not fully SW but not bad as he uses skimmed milk, cheese and cornflour for the sauce plus Lf Bol with lots of veg in. I’ve had a few chocs today as I’ve been sorting a cupboard out and they were shouting to me..... should be ok over the week though. I need to start tracking what I’m eating properly again.
lots of good food planning and losses happening 👍January spends - £587.580 -
