I think as old hands will always ignore the syns for things like instant mash! At the end of the day it's just dehydrated potato. I suspect (but haven't looked on the packet) that they may use something to keep the flakes separate which is where the syns come from but could be wrong, of course.

I think you're probably right maman if the only extras are syn free! I always used to use fine polenta when I first started making KFC but when I run out I never got round to buying it again. Might see if I can get some more when I'm back home as the coating was much crisper.
Should be another on plan menu today as long as nothing changes!

Morning all!
Welcome back Maman we did miss you
Well as predicted I didn't have a moment to get online over the weekend, and straight back into a manic day at work. I caught up on reading back just before falling asleep last night, so well done losers.
Wishing milann and TIE well with their respective recoveries, and I can sympathise totally given my weeks of nausea post CV19, which I had again on Monday evening.
So today I need a good plan, because we are straight out after work, and not back until late, so OH will eat a burger somewhere, but I need to take mine with me.
B - LF yogurt, melon
L - wm bread HEB with banana
pm snack - sf jelly (0.5) with melon & mango w/cream (3)
D - savoury rice, tikka chicken, lettuce, onions, tomato, cucumber
HEA - milk in tea/coffee
Have a good day everyone
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home1 -
Gosh it has been a manic week, was spinning again last night which means a late tea, I actually took a chicken salad to my parents so I could eat there after the spin class before heading home – good planning!Todays menu
B: fruit and fibre, semi skimmed milk
L: chicken salad – lettuce, tom, cucumber, spring onion, pickled onion, orange pepper, celery, boiled egg and chicken breast chopped through. Not decided on the dressing yet don’t need much the chicken is lovely,
T: SW Beef Tagliatelle, might be pasta twists depends what is in the cupboard!
S: apple maybe a freddo
Trying to be super organising, I lost a pound last week, this is good but I think I could have done better but was not as organised as I could have been
I have used the scanner, I used it for a couple of things in Morrison and I have used it for some cupboard items which I found really useful as I don’t want things to go to waste and I want to restock for winter

I do admire your organisation klew and sary. 😁 It's the old mantra Fail to Plan/Plan to Fail. 😊
I'll be out for the day next Tuesday and I'm already thinking ahead of what to take with me for lunch on the go. I pinged the golden vegetable rice in the cupboard yesterday, just to confirm it's free!😁 I'm thinking that with some bits chopped in and perhaps some sausages?? Plenty of time to decide.
Need to rush off to dentist now so will post menu later. 😊

Well things changed and we were out at lunchtime so ended up eating out. I chose fairly sensibly seeing as it was a fish restaurant! I had grilled sea bass with garlic prawns, new boiled potatoes & salad. Was very nice, not sure how many syns but I would think 5 would cover it for the garlic butter and some tartare sauce. Will probably just have some salad for dinner tonight.
We've booked again for lunchtime tomorrow! Will probably have the roasted salmon with a Mediterranean sauce, new potatoes & veg so again shouldn't be too high syn.
Hope the dentist goes OK maman. Is it just a check up? I haven't heard from my dentist yet; we were due to go beginning of April so was hoping we might at least get an appointment next month. Might give them a call when we get home to see if we can get booked in for a check up as it will be a year by then.

Your meal sounds delicious denise, I'm not surprised you booked again! Where are you at the moment?😊
Just a hygienist appointment today. I had a loose tooth which they took out a couple of weeks ago. I rang to ask what to do about that and they gave me an appointment and then asked if I wanted to make more?? They seem to be (very) slowly working through routine appointments because DH hasn't been yet and treating emergencies so because I had an 'emergency' I seem to be back on the books.
I called into the little Coop on the way back and bought 2 whole YS chickens for the freezer at £1.25 each . The app says they're 3 syns but I'll ignore that because it'll be the skin and I always allow for some fat in the gravy.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit F), fried egg (P), mushrooms, tomatoes (S), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- cold pork (P), fried veg and beetroot (S)
D- baked salmon (P)< SW chips (F) carrots, broccoli, mushrooms (S)
Syns- 0
I might use a HEA2 and make garlic mushrooms, not sure how many I have left.3 -
Evening all
Well done to the losers!
Nice to see you Sary
