Resanding the paving slabs was definitely body magic!  Need to get back to it tomorrow if the weather is OK as didn't do any today!  Had quite a lazy day apart from a couple of loads of washing.

Disappointed with the pork roast tonight as it was smaller than expected.  Was hoping to have LO for dinner tomorrow so will have to have a rethink for tomorrow night's dinner as had planned LO pork with chips & veg and there none left!

    Morning all D
Just a quick post, i am crazily busy 😱😱
    Hope everyone is ok?
I have only just had brekkie and been up since 6.15!
Took dh work and on the way back called into a friends(well not actually in, but to her shed) who has been collecting stuff for the homeless/hostel for me as i am quite heavily involved in this as a friend works for the NHS mental health team with the homeless and people from abusive relationships
Anyway just collected a car load and had to leave some as could not fit it all in, so will maybe call tomorrow for that , only to then learn a family of 7 have been made homeless overnight from a house fire, so i am rallying the troops again D and put out another plea D
This was breakfast and was yummy

Well done bubbs. Reading your post, I'm ashamed at how lazy I'm being. My neck is starting to feel better at last so hopefully I'll do something productive today.

Shame about the pork denise. I'm sure you'll find something in the freezer.

Today's cod is a YS pack from Sainsbury's which has a minted pea crumb so it's got some syns. I think I can live with that.  I'm really pleased that I'm sticking quite closely to plan despite the lockdown.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, baked beans (F), HEB toast, fried egg (P), HEA milk
    L- ham (P), fried veg and beetroot (S), 1 potato (F)
D- cod (P), SW chips, mushy peas  (F), carrots, mange tout, asparagus, broccoli (S)
    Syns- crumb 2.5

Just put first load of washing on line, 2nd load in machine. Lovely dogwalk in sunshine, but am sure I felt a spit as putting washing out  :#. Had pulled pork out of SC last night, was yummy and will do for a few more meals. Also did another foodshop at 9pm Saturday, love the fact no Qs, walk straight in, fill trolley, pay and you’re done. Just no eggs, this was at Aldi. Will find them somewhere else.

Must stop buying snacks for kids and then eating them myself, not so good for the scales  :o. But did get plenty of fresh things and yogurts too, so lots of choice. Hope we are all well and doing the best we can. One day at a time! Just draw a line and start again 😉.

Good morning all.  Looking a half decent day, quite bright and warm but not too warm so may actually do some more of the resanding.

Have had a rethink about dinner tonight and have decided what we'll have so today's plan:

B - porridge made with water; watermelon & grapes
L - egg, tuna and new potato salad with tartare drizzle (new recipe for this month's magazine) - P; S; F; 0.5 (had to use LTL mayo as couldn't get any fromage frais when I went shopping)
    D - cauliflower cheese; saute potatoes - HEA2; S; F; 2.5

    HEA1 - milk in drinks
    HEA2 - cheese
    Syns -  1 Tbs LTL mayo 0.5; 150ml skimmed milk 2.5

Dinner sounds delicious denise. How are you making the cheese sauce?

Which recipe do you use for the pulled pork PIB? And which cut of pork? DH loves it but I've never been sure how I'd get the visible fat off successfully.

I had a successful trip to Home Bargains. No restrictions on anything except for handwash type stuff so I was able to stock up on beetroot and pickled cabbage and a few other bits that I needed.

I'm making the sauce from scratch but won't use any butter just a bit of cornflour/mustard powder mixed with a little water (probably ought to syn it but it'll only be enough to thicken the sauce a bit) added to the 300ml of warmed milk (I've synned half), once thickened add half the cheese.  The other half will be sprinkled on top.  I'm hoping it'll work.  As you probably know I usually use a packet mix but haven't got one at the moment!

I use shoulder pork when I do pulled pork.  There's a BBQ pulled pork on the SW website which is the one I used and it's not bad.  Really must do it again sometime as not had that for a long time.

Was it the anti-bac hand sanitiser or just hand wash you bought?  Did you have to ask for it as on another forum I use was told they were keeping it behind the counter.

Did another hour or so's resanding.  It's getting boring now!  Will be glad when it's all done.
