    Evening all,

TIE eeek! about the dog, and it's not like the A47 is a quiet road.  Crikey I think I'd have had a heart attack.

Well yesterday was a stressful one - we had a staff meeting at work, and the stay of execution has been lengthened by a month, so we are still none the wiser, apart from being told the business isn't earning enough and we need to try harder.  Very tough for us all right now, and boss doesn't seem to understand that those staff not furloughed are working 50% hrs but expected to still be able to generate 100% revenue of a fully functioning office and society.  Madness!  I was so anxious about it all in the end that I couldn't face eating my lunch until 4.30pm.  Glad I had taken my chicken salad with me though, and felt better after.

Today has been a bit off plan this evening, so not going to mention that, but back on it again tomorrow.

One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

But on the good side, roast for dinner 🤣🤣🤣
Sary what a worry for you :(  it's the not knowing as well.

DH goes back to full hours tomorrow, but for how long i don't know, we have the scare of local lock down as well, lectures going on line and a new boss who wants to make his mark! DH said something def going on, so we will just have to wait and take each day as it comes .

Have a good day all

Worrying times sary and for your DH bubbs. Sounds like your boss wants it both ways sary. He  wants to take advantage of furlough scheme  while it lasts but expects full time output. I think there's a lot of that going on. It's obvious with banks and many call centres that have limited staff available or reduced hours so service is poor.  Do try to stay on plan though, it's one of the few things we can control!!😊

I bought some YS 2% turkey mince yesterday so I'm going to make some little rissoles today while the oven's on. I'll just snack on them but they do make quite a nice meal with a salad and chips. I'd make them burger size then but today they'll just be little bites.

The link might not work but I can post the recipe if anyone's interested. I'll be using dried herbs.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), fried egg (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S)
L- JP (F) with cottage cheese (P) and beetroot (S)
D- roast beef (P), SW roast potatoes (F), many, many Speed veg.😁
    Syns- gravy 4? horseradish 1, weekend wine🍷😉

Good afternoon all, we're home now and have had some lunch!

Agree with maman sary - you're boss wants his cake and eat it!  You can't be expected to work at double the pace to make up for the staff who are furloughed.  Stick with the plan as best you can and try not to get to stressed about work.

Hope things turn out ok for your hubby bubbs, again very worrying.  So glad I don't work any more.

maman I had a look at the recipe but it only shows half of it!  Can you post the full recipe please?  Sounds like it could be a nice change rather than keep eating the same meals over and over again!

    Today's plan:
B - kedgeree - P; S; F (will not be making this again in the motorhome, it's just too much faff!)
L - pointed peppers stuffed with herby couscous and topped with cheese, served with salad and a bit of LO coronation chicken (about a tspful!!!) - HEA; S; F; 0.5
    D - beef casserole, mash, green beans (from garden) - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
HEB - none planned but may have some Ryvita or Alpen lights later if peckish
Syns - tsp coronation chicken 0.5; couple of rum & ginger beer 5

I'll post it later when I get to PC denise. I think it's because I have a subscription to the paper it works for me.
Who'd have thought a couple of days ago it would be cool enough for a casserole! 🤣

    Afternoon all
Apologies I’ve been AWOL for a couple days :D Friday was really busy, I worked from 10-3, then my friend came round from 3-4.15, and I made a last minute decision to go to the bingo as the money was decent. Hence I was dashing round frantically to try and get ready :D It was a good food day for me though.

Yesterday was another busy one, food shopping and the return of the rugby season on TV. Then OH and I went for a date night as it was 6 months since our wedding day. However I discovered that having been so good and just eating a load of diet food has its downsides- I couldn’t finish my meal as I felt so sick from eating rich food! I didn’t even manage dessert which is unheard of me- OH and I had a hot drink each instead (OH doesn’t eat dessert unless it’s cheese and crackers- but I have a sweet tooth and usually love dessert)

More rugby today- it’s a 3pm k/o. I’ve got my Wasps shirt on and I’m on the sofa waiting for it to start! I hope they fare better than Tigers did yesterday though- that was excruciating to watch! Think I’m going to have a couple of HiFi bars and some fruit and a cup of coffee while I’m watching. I still have my HEXB for today as I did a fry up for brunch. Slept really late today as I only got a few hours Friday night- I had a brutal TMJ headache which made even resting my head on the pillow hurt. My head really hurt most of yesterday but thankfully is okay today.
I’m starting to get back to ‘normal’ I’ve got lots of trips away planned. I’m off to London on Tuesday for the day- my brother is going to Madame Tussaud’s to see the Star Wars exhibition so I’m going to meet him down there as I’m only an hour away by train. Then two weeks today I’m at a comedy gig in Nottingham and although I could come back the trains are a mare at the moment so I’m staying over (got a cracking deal- £30 in the Jury’s Inn! I’m a rewards member so I got a good discount on top) then off home on the 10th for a few days for the Ronan gig with my sister, then off on hols to Somerset with hubby and mum at the end of September. Lots to look forward to so all the more reason to be good! :)

    Today’s food:
Brunch: 3 x sausages (1.5) Skinni black pudding (1) fried egg, tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, decaf coffee with HEXA
Snack: HEXB HiFi x 2, easy peeler, apple, decaf coffee with HEXA
Tea: Haggis, neeps, and tatties (1 syn) Boost ice cream (11 syns)
    Supper: Skinni pork kebab (1)
    Syns: 15.5
Apologies for the essay :D hope you’re all well xx

    Hi all

Hope you don’t mind me joining again. I‘ve been kind of following the plan over lockdown while doing the zoom meetings but snacking way too much and not doing it properly but, now that we can go to meetings again, I had my first in person meeting in what feels like forever, have had a decent weekend food-wise and I’m feeling much more positive and want to get doing this properly. Am getting way too close to 20 stone and I want to lose weight and feel a bit better about myself. I’ve planned some delicious on-plan meals for the week and can’t wait. Have been still following this page even though I’ve not posted and am feeling inspired.

    Today’s menu:

Breakfast: banana (went out early so grabbed this on the go)
Lunch: samafel (cross between samosa and falafel with potato and pea filling) - guessed as 6 syns to err on the high side - peach, 100ml glass of orange juice (2 syns)
Snack: 25g milk chocolate peanuts (7 syns) mixed with 25g milk chocolate raisins (5 syns)
Dinner: mums recipe mince hot pot (1.5 syns)
    Total: 21.5 syns

Will possibly have some berries that we bought from a local farmers market after dinner for dessert. Have snuck over my 20 syns allowance due to guessing the syns for the samafel (also bought from farmers market) but am ok with that. If it’s ok I’ll post some pictures this week to gauge whether my portion size is ok - I think in the past I’ve not had enough at mealtimes which is why I want to snack so much - and I’ll keep posting my daily menus on here.

Welcome back Beth, of course we don't mind you coming back and feel free to post photos of your meals - as you probably know bubbs posts most of her meals.  Portion size isn't a problem as long as you're eating the right foods and having plenty of Speed foods.

Well done on the loss milann.  What goes into your falafels to make them a syn each?  I often make falafels but they are syn free!  There is a syn free version on the SW website you could try although I just use a recipe I found online and just substitute Frylight for oil and that sort of thing so that it's syn free (I also use dried chickpeas rather than tinned as I find I get a better result).

Am currently pressure cooking some chickpeas ready for tomorrow night's dinner of Chana Masala.  Have made some tomato and basil pasta sauce this afternoon using just over a kilo of home grown tomatoes!  I've only got a few plants but they are all producing masses of tomatoes and there's still plenty of green ones on there!  I've kept a few in the fridge for salads but there are just too many to eat them all fresh.  Will use some of the tomato sauce in the curry tomorrow night rather than opening a tin.
