Losing in Lockdown - Slimming World Support Thread

Not going to announce my gain! As I said last week, going to take the hit by weighing exactly as if I were in class, weighed in the morning during lockdown so that the numbers could be registered for the zoom class, so needed to be able to revert to what will be the norm. Scales say I have gained overall during lockdown, but I am not convinced. Anyway, next week will be normal, whatever normal is these days, so will be more accurate, however, I will also need to factor in, possibly, difference in scales, so next week will be week one again! I think the general consensus is that a small gain will be fine, maintain or loss will be bonus.
Our group is actually closing, our consultant has been asked to take over another one so we "met" some of them last night. I sat there looking at someone's kitchen, jealous as hell! I so want a big kitchenA smile costs little but creates much2 -
Morning all. Definitely a bit cooler this morning so hoping it won't be too humid. I don't mind the heat but I hate the humidity!
Well it looks like my holiday is out of the window now! Need to speak to my insurance company and see if we will be covered if we just drive through France to go to Germany as we'd decided we'd go to the Black Forest area in the motorhome. Biggest problem is that I actually need to sort out my annual insurance and it runs out at the end of the month so needs renewing anyway! Doubt we'd be able to find anywhere in this country to go in the motorhome as most campsites are nowhere near towns which is what we need as we generally use public transport in this country although we've bought another scooter so would have to take that, assuming we can find somewhere!
Ended yesterday on 8.5 syns after having a small Magnum type lolly - 6 syns instead of 15 for a full sized one. Will be using a few more than that today as meeting up with friends this evening for a socially distanced drink - we're meeting at a campsite for the weekend so may even end up as 2 SD drinks, LOL!
Today's plan:
B - bacon sandwich - P; HEB; 3.5
L - Meditterean fish bake - S; P; F
D - Spanish rice - S; P; F; 3.5
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - butter 3.5; chorizo 3.5; rum ? (not drinking wine as always drink too much with these particular friends!)

Morning All! Belated happy anniversary maman - hope you enjoyed your off plan night out. Good to see you're enjoying the plan klew, fingers crossed for a good result when you weigh in!
Yet more rain yesterday evening but thankfully no flooding this time. So much cooler here today thankfully! Have now completed week 1 of the new workout program (minus some additional stretching tomorrow) and feeling a lot better for it. Those additional endorphins really do make a difference!
B - bran flakes (HEB), skimmed milk (1/2 HEA), strawberries, blueberries
L - Herby pork balls and cucumber salad
D - Chickpea curry (3 syns), rice

Cooler and overcast here also today. We had a short rain shower yesterday lunchtime, but it lasted all of about 15 minutes. We haven't had any of the storms either, totally missed us in S.Lincs. The forecast for us yesterday was for another warm day, cloudy early with sunshine later, so I planned a BBQ and invited son #3's new GF to join us. It was cloudy, very breezy and a bit cold! Clearly my timing for these events is not great
Fortunately the BBQ doubles up as a fire pit, so we chucked some wood on that, and it was a pleasant evening sat by candlelight until 10pm.
Yesterday's plan:#
B - wm bagel HEB & (5) & lf spread (2)
L - apple, banana, ff yogurt, special K bar (6) - left the house in a hurry and had to grab what I could FAST! The bar was in my desk drawer.
D - Pork loin & 1 sausage (2) , savoury rice, mixed salad: lettuce, peppers, onion, tomatoes, cucumber & baked beans
HEA - milk in tea/coffee
There's lots of meat left over from the BBQ so it's going to be that again tonight, with salad and more rice I think. It was thoroughly enjoyable, and felt like a bit of a treat having it on a work night.

Bummer about your holiday Denise. I think this year is the first time I've been grateful for the fact I have holiday insurance as part of my bank account, because I was covered with that from the point I booked our holiday back in late Feb. (before we all realised how serious CV19 was going to affect travel/the world). Fortunately TUI allowed us to just change our holiday online and I moved it by a whole 12 months to next year instead, thinking that if we had a 2nd wave (ooh, get me Nostradamus!) of the virus, we could find ourselves either being quarantined on holiday, or have travel curtailed at short notice.
Having looked at other separate insurance policies, and with the benefits I get from the account (they don't actually offer that level anymore, but I've had it about 20 years now) I would pay more for the holiday ins/phone ins/vehicle breakdown cover/card loss assistance/large arranged o'/draft facility with a free amount included.
OH was meant to be going away with our 2nd eldest to France in October for MotoGP, rearranged from May/June, but it's looking less likely again now. They didn't get insurance prior to booking the accommodation/travel, so will likely lose some if not all of that as it's not part of a package. I think the ferry is the only part they can get rearranged, and maybe refunded. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Thanks for your good wishes. We had a really good time last night and the food was fantastic. I could post a link to the menu but it wouldn't be fair on a SW thread! 🤣
Sorry to hear you're still suffering sary but you are doing well sticking to the plan so that's some of your mojo back. Good for you. 😊
I thought of you when I read about France denise and as Belgium and Holland are on the list too it makes it difficult to get to Germany. It'll be interesting to hear what your insurance company has to say. We only had the one holiday booked and that's rebooked for next year. I'd like to get away sometime this autumn but I think it'll be in this country and very last minute.
Back on plan today. I've done my meal plan for the coming week and shopping list is ready for later. It's pleasantly cooler here today. I've got washing out so hoping no more rain.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, baked beans (F), HEB toast, HEA milk, fried egg (P)
L- ham (P), veggie omelette (P,S), pickled cabbage (S)
D- Fake KFC (P), SW chips (F), mushrooms, tomatoes, broccoli (S)
Syns= weekend wine 😁🍷2 -
Sary it sounds as if you’ve had a bad time if it.maman glad you had a lovely anniversary. We were 42 years last week but we have a local lockdown and didn’t fancy going out so we had a lovely meal and drinks at home instead....which wasn’t the slightest bit SW. Trouble was there were left overs which lasted days - It gave me my wake up call to get back on plan though.
It’s rubbish the way everybody’s lives are messed up......we’ve decided to get some work done on the house instead this year instead of a holiday and have days out. Blooming virus....I’m hoping our local lockdown will be lifted soon as I’m on school holiday and would like to meet some friends in the garden whilst the weather is nice 🙄
Todays food
breakfast - strawberries, blueberries, banana, no added sugar granola heb ff yoghurt
dinner - tuna, lettuce, tomato, green beans, new potatoes, egg, 2 olives 1/2 syn? (can’t remember how many syns for olives - is it 8 olives for 2 syns?) 1/2 syn for hm honey, lemon and mustard dressing
tea - falafel and salad 1 syn
snacks - fruit and 5 syns from treat box....depending on what takes my fancy
hea 350 ml skimmed milk - I don’t always have my 2nd hea
My halo needed polishing yesterday as I had strawberries iinstead of the treat tin I’d planned.....not sure what’s got into me these last few days but long may it last 😂😂Hopefully I’ve done enough to at least maintain tomorrow when I weigh myself after my pig out last weekend.January spends - £587.582
