Shame about the pound coxy. At least you know why. I'd be surprised if the lack of running/exercise is a problem, more likely to be that you're missing the feel good factor and combined with not feeling well it's making you comfort eat.

I used  bubbs' recipe and took a look at a Slimming Eats creamy garlic mushrooms.
    http://www.slimmingeats.com/blog/garlic-mushrooms-with-roasted-jacket-potat
Not sure if the link will work (PC upgraded itself overnight!!) but I used a spring onion and the light cheese triangles (like bubbs)  instead of the cream cheese in the recipe. I even grated a bit of Parmesan on top to make it extra cheesy. As I'd never made them before, I made them in advance and just warmed them through when the meals was ready. It'd make a tasty topping for a JP too.

I'm having chilli for lunch, kept a portion out from the freezer. I always do it in single portions so I can take out one for lunch for me (when DH is eating sandwiches and biscuits) or double up for an evening meal.

We're having lamb today as I saw a decent size half shoulder in Aldi. I know it's fatty but so tasty. We'll have to eat earlier than usual to accommodate football on TV. We're not expecting to win but just hope the score isn't embarrassing.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, baked beans (F), fried egg (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
    L- JP (F), veggie chilli (P,S), pickles (S), cottage cheese (P)
D- roast lamb (P), SW roast potatoes (F), many, many veg (S)
Syns- gravy 4? (at least), weekend wine

I've used that slimming eats recipe a few times.  It's quite a nice lunch.  I've never really thought about using the creamy garlic mushrooms as a jacket potato topping but you're right it would be nice.

Hope you feel better soon Coxy, don't beat yourself up over eating the pitta, these things happen.  You'll soon lose that lb.

The chicken and ham terrine sounds interesting.  Where did you get the recipe from?  Is it online and is it a SW recipe or one you are adapting?

Our weather can't make its' mind up!  It was really grey and looked like rain an hour ago and now the sun is shining but definitely very windy!  Think the wind is here to stay for another week.

    It's a SW one on line :D

Coxy hope you soon feel a bit better, glad i am past that stage and did used to really suffer :( Men don't know they are born 🤣🤣
I told my friend about the mushrooms Maman and she had ontop of JP and said it was yummy!!
Will look at the other recipe, thanks
We had a fry up for brunch, i have also made scotch eggs in the acti and jelly and fruit to have ice cream ontop in a sundae dish 😋😋

Thanks bubbs the only real difference is that the Slimming Eats recipe uses onion and stock instead of water. I'm sticking with the cheese triangles as they make it so much easier to measure. 😋

Thanks bubbs.. I'll have a look at the recipe.

I think I'll try the cheese triangles next time I make the garlic mushrooms maman as you say much easier to measure.

It's great having that extra HEA. I don't use it every day but it's good for a bit of cheese without having to syn it. Today I grated a topping of Parmesan on the swede and carrot mash. 😋

I've found recently I've been using the 2nd HEA more often than I used to!  Sometimes I wish it was a 2nd HEB I could have instead, like it used to be for SP before it changed to be 2 HEA and 1 HEB!

Was the parmasan good on the swede and carrot mash?

Morning all, hope you all had a good weekend.  I took Friday off work and had a relatively relaxed weekend.  Not happy to report a 4.5lb gain this week but that's due mostly to it being TOTM plus the pizza that I devoured on Friday night because I was feeling so bad.  Hoping that by keeping to plan this week and upping my water intake it should help with all the bloating and get most of that gain off.  Did manage to finish my 8 week exercise program so now I'm on to the next 8 weeks if I can motivate myself to start again this evening

B - Branflakes (HEB), skimmed milk (1/3 HEA), strawberries, blueberries
L - Turkey salad (mixed leaves, tomatoes, cucumbers, onion, gherkins, beetroot, peppers)
D - Poutine made with SW style chips, 1 HEA light mozzarella, 3 syns of gravy and some broccoli and cauliflower on the side

Right back to work now, only have 2 days this week and then booked off Weds - Fri because I need a break.  Hope you all have a good day.

    Hi all,
Shame about the gain ruby - I feel your pain. Hopefully you can get that off this week.
I’m starting the week in a more hopeful mood. Ran 3k this morning - it felt ok but more importantly, my mood is so much more positive.
    Food today:
    B - 2 flat peaches (S), weetabix and skimmed milk (HEA/HEB)
L - stir fried rice with peas and ham, salad
    D - bolognaise bake
    Snacks - Apple, satsuma, banana
Food shopping tonight and cheese triangles are on the list!
    Have a good day all,
    Coxy xx
