Morning all
Windy and overcast hereI have washing to dry but don't know if it's worth the risk as need to go over one of my sister's later
Summer has finished i reckon, last week we were moaning how hot it was 😂Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -
It's supposed to be better next week. Not hot but warm - low 20s and very little chance of rain. Suspect we'll still have the wind though.
I reckon it's worth putting the washing on the line bubbs if you can leave it out for a couple of hours. That's about how long my washing seems to take to dry, even heavy stuff like jeans.

Damp and dismal here today. Probably for the best if it stops people flocking to beer gardens.
I have a veggie chilli bubbling away in the SC. It's one vegetarian meal that DH enjoys. I'm not even sure if he realises there's no meat in it especially as I use beef stock and 'red wine' so it has a meaty taste.
I found grapefruit squash in M&S yesterday so normal service is resumed.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, porridge, skinny syrup, banana (F), HE porridge, HEA milk
L- vegie omelette (P,S), ham, cottage cheese (P), pickles (S)
D- boiled gammon (P), SW chips (F), mushrooms, tomatoes and tenderstem broccoli (S)
Syns- weekend wine

That's brilliant maman, I'm sure you've missed your grapefruit squash! It's always your first drink of the day.
I'm planning on doing a veggie chilli when we come back from holiday once I've been shopping obviously. I'll probably go shopping on the Tuesday while DH is at home waiting for a mobile guy to come and fit new front tyres to our motorhome as they have reached the end of their life (still have plenty of tread but 7 years old!). Really annoying as we had all the tyres changed at the same time and really shouldn't have needed changing until next year! We've already changed the middle ones as we got a puncture a few years ago in Belgium so had to change both tyres on that axle as it's illegal to drive with different tyres on one axle! We had planned to change the other 4 next year so now each axle will need to be changed at different times - think I'm going to have to make a note in my diary as to when each is done.
Oops that went really off the subject! Just about to sit down and enjoy a glass of wine or 3.

You're right denise, I have missed my grapefruit squash. I always feel dehydrated when I wake up (not only after wine syns 🤣) so I start my breakfast with a large glass. Pre SW I used to have juice but I think juice is a waste of syns so the squash is a good alternative and grapefruit is the least sweet I've found. I've never had a sweet tooth so sickly sweet drinks don't appeal.
I'm sure the tyres are expensive but you get so much pleasure from your motor home and it's very mse compared to hotels so probably worth the investment. 🤔🙂
I'm trying the garlic mushrooms that bubbs had the other night. I think I added too much water/stock so I thickened them with a tsp of cornflour. I can live with half a syn. 😁
ETA - garlic mushrooms were a big success. Definitely be having them again and only half a HEA between 2, what's not to like? 😋

You're right maman the tyres are well worth it. In fact this way it means we won't have to change them all at once so can spread the cost over a few years - 2 tyres this year, 2 next year and the other 2 won't need changing until 2023.
The garlic mushrooms sound nice. Will try them when we come back from holiday as will need to buy some garlic Frylight as I've run out.
Today's plan:
B - fry up - bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans - P; S; F
L - cheese salad sandwich - HEB; HEA; S; 0.5
D - roast pork, roast potatoes, roasted carrots, roasted onions, roasted peppers, green beans, peas - P; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread

Hi everyone,
WI today with a 1lb gain. Not at all unexpected as TOTM#2 still hereand I haven’t run since Monday. I felt really ropey yesterday - dull headache and cramps most of the day. As a result I just ate whatever I fancied including a chicken shish kebab last night. Loads of salad (S!) but did eat the pitta too.
Onto today, headache still with me. Have eaten 2 flat peaches so far.Dinner is roast pork, roast potatoes, cauliflower. Will shop for other veg once I’m dressed(!). Have some mushrooms and tomatoes to use up, so thinking of grilled bacon for lunch with those.Have a good day all.Coxy xxCross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0 -
Hope you feel better soon Coxy, don't beat yourself up over eating the pitta, these things happen. You'll soon lose that lb.
The chicken and ham terrine sounds interesting. Where did you get the recipe from? Is it online and is it a SW recipe or one you are adapting?
Our weather can't make its' mind up! It was really grey and looked like rain an hour ago and now the sun is shining but definitely very windy! Think the wind is here to stay for another week.
