My cineworld vouchers run out in November and I've been advised that they will be extended until May next year. So we'll have 18 vouchers for cineworld, vue and odeon in the house from this month and I would guess a dearth of decent films until well into next year. First world problems.
when and from where did you get notified of that extension until May 21?
  • From a Lloyds Club enquiries email.

I rang Lloyds Club enquiries yesterday as my Vue vouchers run out in early December and I had received an email from them to choose the coming year's benefit.  I was advised that they were still waiting to hear from Vue with regard to extending the vouchers, but they seemed hopeful as it had happened earlier in the year it would happen again and he said not to worry if not heard by the expiry date. He said a notification would be sent out once they know anything.  Whilst on the phone I chose Rakuten for this year's benefit as who knows when cinemas and indeed restaurants will be back to normal.

We have 10 Club Lloyds Cineworld Vouchers which expire in June and July. Cineworld might not open by then. Has anyone tried to get their voucher expiry dates extended?
    Extended dates on them now

I called them up and lodged a complaint, after few days someone called me up following up on that complaint and offered me £60 for 6 unused tickets (offered £10 per ticket).  I happily took it and £60 was in my bank account in few minutes after the call.  I already have another 6 Odeon tickets which are getting expired Nov'21, so no way I would be using 6 Cineworld tickets.  Same for my partner and she also got £60.

wow.... i complained and they said there's nothing they could do. expiry already extended to 31/5/21 and that will be it as unable to negotiate further as no longer in partnership with cineworld.

ouch, feel for you.  Not sure we got lucky.  Probably file a complaint online (from your club a/c) and hopefully they will also offer you. Try telling them that few of your friends have got £10 per ticket after making a complaint and their heart might melt to offer you as well :-)

Why such great discrepancy? Some are getting compensation greater than the face value of tickets while others are getting told to ... off. Is it just down to the rep handling the case or based on some customer value calculation?
