That’s fantastic!! Totally understand wanting to do something positive with it rather than going to a ‘negative’. Lovely incentive to have it there!

We have loads to do around the house and already have a holiday booked for next year. He doesn’t want it to go on that though. He wants us to do the house as and when he can. It’s more for adventures.  His eyes lit up when I suggested a weekend away in the Peak District at Easter to climb some hills!! He would also like to go dry ski slope skiing with the kids. He has said we will draw up a budget for it and all the stuff we want to do next year once soon.

  • Evening all!
Things have got a bit messy recently with money management - not from overspending but from organisation.
I'm trying to figure it all out even though I am really tired and desperate for the end of school to happen soon so I can rest.  Its been a long old term!
There is stuff on the credit cards but I am using it as a means to sort out our budget once and for all as what is on there is largely stuff that is unbudgeted for and I am going to focus on this over Christmas so we can start 2021 in a good place - with a good solid budget.
Thankfully, we haven't overspent this Christmas.  I have almost finished shopping.  Husband is out on Saturday night so I am going to put on a Christmas film of my choice and start wrapping everything and see what is left to get.
Feeling on it and ready to get super organised in 2021.  I was all ready to talk about the plans that are formulating in my mind but I have had a glass of wine and am very tired and very much ready for bed.
Shall save that for another post.

  • Morning!
Back on top of money management - I’m glad to report.
It is the last day of work/school for all of us. So looking forward to a break.
It’s pay day today and I got paid an extra £23! Immediately slushed it towards husbands loan. I noticed that the direct debit for swimming has been reduced since they couldn’t go for a few weeks so I am hoping to slush at least another £10 in the coming days.
I also can’t wait for the council tax break coming up in the next few months.
Anyway - better get ready to go to work!
    Have a great day everyone!

  • Morning all!
Last night I slushed another £22 at the loan and paid off a few things from my credit card.
We are nearly there with the Christmas shopping. Just a few more bits to get and then the food shop but it shall be smaller of course this year. We are just going to have chicken for our Christmas dinner in Christmas Eve but husband wants a ham as well for the Christmas period. This will be a lot cheaper than previous years with less waste. It feels weird not having any plans or any parties to go to but is actually quite refreshing as well.
Im going to get super organised and I mean it this time! Xx
