Just checking in with latest spends - £5.30 at Coop on bread, butter and milk. £33.01 spent at Morribobs after saying would not go there! Was also doing DF's shop (85 and vulnerable) who only likes Mr M - so not worth two trips. YS on a few items - bacon, muffins and wraps. Also managed to get SR flour at 60p a kilo which had been decanted into paper veg bags - one had already exploded up the aisle so they may want to rethink that one. No farm shop share this week - aim one last shop next week to stay in budget.....this may be aspirational as seem to do well then all goes out of the window....January 2020 Grocery challenge £119.45/£200
February 2020 Grocery challenge £195.22 /£200
March 2020 - gone to pot...
April 2020 - £339.45/£200
May 2020 - £194.99/£3003 -

Main shop done today in Icel*nd and a visit to the butchers and small SM next to it (needed Weeta*ix but Icel*and didn't have any) and spent a total of £20.12 and now have £95.13/£250 left which I'm pleased with. Will be one top up shop early next week plus another main shop in a week's time so should come in under budget - that'll be for the first time this year I think!

It was quite amusing really as the wearied check out lady said 'Do you want me to put it in another bag? Been doing this all morning hmmph'. I watched Belles of St Trinians too at the weekend - really enjoyed it - hard to believe it was made 65 years ago!

I've done two shops at Adli this week, together they came to £38.53, and I'm now fairly well stocked. DS3 is living at home on extended uni vacation, like most other students he does not know what will happen next term. He likes his snacks and has been buying extras with his own money which I'm not counting in the challenge. I don't charge him housekeeping,so these little extras help to make our diet more interesting although not helping our waistlines. Today he has treated us to some Chinese take-away type food from Sains, which we will have for tea. I've been doing more baking than I have done for years. Hobnobs, chocolate cake and gingerbread today.Grocery challenge 2025: £650/1500 annual budget7
