No. PIP is about how your health conditions affect your ability to carry out the specified activities. I can’t see that being extremely vulnerable in respect of coronavirus has any bearing.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

You also need to have had a condition for at least 3 months and expect them to last at least 9 months... https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/sick-or-disabled-people-and-carers/pip/

Hi thanks for your replies I already have an existing pip claim and have asthma, ,COPD, diabetes and hypertension and I wondered if the letter could be used as evidence because It's my understanding to get that letter you have to have been identified has having severe lung disease or one of several illnesses. So if nothing else it's proof I have severe lung disease. I understand pip is how your diagnosis effects you not diagnosis but was just curious what people thought.

I suggest you apologise calcotti bit sharp in your response. I don't see why it's not worth using as evidence as the government obviously thinks your condition is at least the same as it was in 2017.

Presumably the medical evidence you have already sent confirms your diagnoses. Agree it can’t hurt (but I still don’t think it will help).

I have to agree with calcotti here, personally i don't see how it can help a claim.
I don't see anything harsh in calcotti's advice.
