I agree, that was a wrong move by MSE Tine.  Threads about ongoing cases on this sub-board should not be closed.  That OP is in the middle of a court case.

I have emailed asking for the thread to be re-opened. I do not think admin appreciate how dangerous these companies can be.

    So, new update.
I have today received 2 letters from excel.
1st - a letter telling me how confident they are that they will win the case and they would like to offer me a reduced rate payment of £125 payable within 14 days.
2nd - (dated 3 days later) a notice of discontinuance.

Probably not in this current crisis when much is being done from home or by phone.

I would be contacting the court and finding out, if that is still possible
is it now manchester court or is there still one in oldham or rochdale ?
I know the Tameside one in Ashton has deferred civil cases to Manchester or Stockport afaik

belt and braces approach , make sure to make sure, dont leave it to chance

but well done , another one bites the dust

Maybe post a copy to the named Judge and a copy of your summary costs assessment, and ask for your costs on the indemnity basis for the time wasted so far, at £19 per hour LiP rate.

@Redx it was set for manchester court. I will email them and ask to make surer than sure.

@Coupon-mad could I really claim costs in this case? I have incurred genuine costs (aside from many hours spent on this)
