Yes, they just ask two simple questions and say your tax code will be updated within 2 days.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
for those of us claiming via self assessment, presumably we put in the 312 for 2020-2021 or put 624 for 2020-2022?

Thanks!
Are you submitted your return for 2021/22 already?
No, it's just 2020/21.
If you're claiming for the few weeks of 2019/20 then you'll need to submit an amended self-assessment.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
This is a question about working a partial tax year and whether there is any difference in the amount that can be claimed through self-assessment versus the automatic one year amount claimable through the microservice. I've looked through the blog article and this entire thread but haven't found an answer (and googled!).
Let's say employee A, who is not subject to Self Assessment, claims in June 2020 the Work From Home expenses for the whole of tax year 2020/21, using the microservice. In July 2020 the employee is made redundant and remains unemployed through to the end of the 2020/21 tax year. Because the employee has worked at least one day at home, as required by their employer, the amount of £6x52 = £312 is added to the employee's personal allowance resulting in a tax saving that reflects the whole year being worked, despite not being employed for 52 weeks (let's say number of weeks employed in 20/21 was 17 weeks to July 31st 2020).
Now consider employee B who is made redundant on the same date as Employee A, but is subject to Self Assessment and so has not been able to use the microservice to claim the allowance prior to redundancy. The amount being claimed has to be written into box 20 under the Employment Expenses section of the Employment form SA102.
Does the rule which says you only have to work from home one day to get the full year's allowance apply to Employee B? Can the full year £312 allowance be written in box 20 of the SA form or can only 17 weeks @ £6 per week = £102 be claimed?
I think there should be no difference in the benefit according to how or when the allowance is claimed, but I'm no expert so thought I'd ask here.

I work for an aesthetic clinic doctor led , CQC registered and members of save face , we have had three closures due to COVID pandemic although the third lockdown we were able to remain open but as we are in Norfolk and COVID was in full swing we decided to close and only open march 1st for medical procedures and April 12 th for all treatments, we were furloughed as PAYE but we all run our own clinics ourselves as we earn a percentage of each treatment and we all staff own 20% of the business so very important to us , we were never asked to work but due to the nature of what we do but we have to personally talk to our own patients to rebook and move more than once which takes many hours and personally do all the social media every month so i work at home along side 24hours in clinic so am I entitled to any tax relief please0

I can't seem to do it for 21/22, just end up at a form asking for my contact details. There's a question of 'have you already claimed this' which then states your tax code is already correct - it can't be as thats last year's tax code that was altered.
Been on with the live chat and they've suggested either submitting a P87 and noting the form as 'COVID related', or trying again in a few days, I'll try the latter but curious to know if it's worked for anyone else?
"they can obtain and complete a version of the P87 claim form online , which they print off and post to HMRC
they can get a copy of this from www.gov.uk by searching ‘P87’
they should note the P87 as a COVID-19 related claim
to return the form to

@helenbunn Do you complete a self-assessment form? If so, that's how you claim it as you're a % owner of the business.
@Bossworld mine went through ok a few days ago, as have others I've passed the details on to.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
