Martin Lewis: Working from home due to coronavirus, even for a day? Claim TWO years' worth of tax re

I completed this before the new tax year on the online form with the two tick boxes but I haven't heard a peep and I cannot see any changes to my tax code. My colleagues have had changes to theirs by now.
I have just done the form for this year but I am not hopeful. I believe the problem might be caused by me being ex-self assessment (I used to complete this alongside my PAYE when I had a side hustle). Is there a number to call to talk to someone? Or is this all only online?0 -
As per previous post, it seems I broke something by navigating to the site on the first day of the new tax year.
But, carried on past the request for contact details. Filled in the £312 and £0 as per the screenshots and within two days they’ve updated my tax code. No complaints from me1 -
I've just done this but there was no option for last year, it only talked about the current year. Not sure if this is due to my tax code being changed for another reason last month or if the site now only supports this tax year.0

I've looked through the blog article and this entire thread but haven't found an answer (and googled!).
Let's say employee A, who is not subject to Self Assessment, claims in June 2020 the Work From Home expenses for the whole of tax year 2020/21, using the microservice. In July 2020 the employee is made redundant and remains unemployed through to the end of the 2020/21 tax year. Because the employee has worked at least one day at home, as required by their employer, the amount of £6x52 = £312 is added to the employee's personal allowance resulting in a tax saving that reflects the whole year being worked, despite not being employed for 52 weeks (let's say number of weeks employed in 20/21 was 17 weeks to July 31st 2020).
Now consider employee B who is made redundant on the same date as Employee A, but is subject to Self Assessment and so has not been able to use the microservice to claim the allowance prior to redundancy. The amount being claimed has to be written into box 20 under the Employment Expenses section of the Employment form SA102.
Does the rule which says you only have to work from home one day to get the full year's allowance apply to Employee B? Can the full year £312 allowance be written in box 20 of the SA form or can only 17 weeks @ £6 per week = £102 be claimed?
I think there should be no difference in the benefit according to how or when the allowance is claimed, but I'm no expert so thought I'd ask here.0 -
If you have worked two (or more) different jobs in the same tax year, can you only apply for one employer per tax year, or all employers?0

One tax relief claim for WAH for at least one day of the tax year, it doesn't matter how many employers you have in that time as it's based on tax year. You won't get two or more lots of tax relief just because of changing jobs.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -

I only recently found out about this. I have WFH since 23/03/2020 and the office got officially closed this year, so I have no office to report to now, so my team WFH full time now. I completed the form saying date I started WFH was 23/03/2020 - my 2021 tax code has now changed to 1288L. But 2019-2020 saying I paid the correct amount of tax for that period and 2020/2021 it is saying waiting for records. Is this normal? Do I have to wait for the P60 end of the month?

Yes it is normal. As you were too late to have a revised tax code for 2020:21 you will have to wait until HMRC will review 2020:21 over the next few months and if you are due a refund you will get a P800 calculation.
You could chase up the refund if you are desperate for the money but you really don't need to do anything more.
