"There's a lot of pointed comments here. Court is technical stuff. Everyone should (nicely) be encouraged to read more - you can never read too much - and to not follow the templates too slavishly."
I agree with Johnersh. The defendant will have to argue their case so they need to understand the points and arguments.
It is interesting though and you never know when you may have to call on this knowledge again. You may buy something that breaks or engage a contractor whose work you are not satisfied with.
I can also say that hopefully my friends and family will avoid PCN's as I have bored them to death.
Regarding "you can never read too much" I am in the process of reading "Defending the Guilty" by Alex McBride and it is a real eye opener to the criminal law system.

Also, masters? Never seen "the big bang theory" then?0 -

Regardless, the point that others are making is that, on this forum, all posters are equal and free to contribute with the best of their experience and to help others (and to not post when they do not have suitable experience or knowledge). Generally, that does not require contributors to declare their credentials, though that can be sensible if the poster has specific experience relevant to the topic - for example a Conveyancing Solicitor commenting on the House Buying thread. I would have thought that someone with an above average IQ would be able to understand this context from the thread taken as a whole.
Certain credentials are irrelevant to most boards, such as being in the top 2% wealthwise. Again, something someone with above average IQ would realise.3 -
