I believe him. Owning property in London could easily take a person into that bracket. 

Where I live you can buy a four bedroom house for an amulet of cat's teeth.  

I own property in London, doesn't put me into any such group and more importantly it certainly doesn't change my or anyone else's status on here. His "wealth" is unconvincing and ultimately completely irrelevant.

In a country where so many are mired in debt, being in the top two percent wealthwise does not mean that one is rich beyond dreams.  Over the years I have accumulated a small portfolio of modest properties.
