We had pizza last night - DH just had black olives added to his. I had oregano, chilli, grated cheddar and black olives. Just basic pizza express ones that were on offer when I was getting wine delivered by the T SM - such a treat for us!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

I am going to start using some of the damaged squashes we grew as they won't store well. So I plan a slow cooker curry tonight. Got a couple of bits of chicken out of the freezer (at least I hope they are chicken - DH got pears out last time he thought it was chicken!) and plenty of frozen spinach so probably chicken sag and a veg curry of squash, onions and chick peas, maybe with some other veg thrown in (carrots, cabbage?)Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Picked up a couple of YS stir fry veg packs yesterday so will use those as lunches during the week. Using up some mushrooms in the fridge with the last of the arborio rice and parmesan cheese to make a risotto for dinner tonight. Have some green beans that I might chuck on the side too so they're gone.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20177

Last night's dinner was leftover lamb roast and potatoes with some fresh steamed cauli on the side.
This week is all about what do we feel like eating as I'm on staycation and trying to ignore routines and planning! (Sooooo hard to do!)
We were adventurous on the weekend and tried out laborious rava dosa - something we saw on utoob and were intrigued by! Like crepes, they take skill and patience but after the first three, OH got the nack of it and spent the next hour making them! He said he would do them again & good thing too as we now have a bag of semolina and another of rice flour in the stores!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! I shopped yesterday. I am a real sucker for the multi-meat offers but I resisted the 3 chickens for £10, only to succumb to 3 packs of 20 chipolatas for £9! Most are in the freezer in small bags of 8 but 4 went home with DS and 8 are ready for supper one night this week. I was out (out) last night, for my book club so just scoffed some corn on the cob that DH had cooked earlier, when I go back. Much too late for me to eat but I slept in this morning. Maybe I should eat late every night!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Was baking a loaf last night and fancied making something for dessert so I found a half-used forgotten random packet of cereal in the cupboard, melted some chocolate and a few leftover Xmas toffees and made chocolate & toffee cereal bar.
Instead of buying a new loaf for one day’s sandwiches when we ran out of bread, I defrosted the pumpernickel rolls in the freezer for tomorrow.

@kboss2010 you see those cereal bars would never work here. The idea of either cereal or toffees being left is a strange alien concept in this house!
We had sausage salad last night but I am going to have to do stuff with both cucumbers and the cherry tomatoes - far more than we are eating. I already have some in the freezer. I have a chicken to cook this weekend but we are out (out) tonight so I suspect pizza might feature when we get back.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

In the spirit of using things up in the freezer, DH is having fish finger sandwiches for dinner tonight while I have the last cod fillet that was rattling around in there. Using up the potatoes we bought last week by making some chips and splitting a tin of mushy peas from the cupboard. Have very little left in the freezer now so might be able to finally defrost it tomorrow!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20179

Half a roast chicken left and I finally soaked and cooked some lentils (puy) - I need to do something with them - they might be dressed and included in a salad today, just need to find the recipe...Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

For lunch today we are having a stir fry to use up the last of the greens, the last 3 eggs and the last pouch of micro rice!
Bi-weekly shop arrives this afternoon so we'll have a few days of forward planned meals before returning to 'reverse' meal planning!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!!
