Found two steaks in the freezer, well I hope they are steaks, so having those tonight. Neither me nor mum are big meat eaters so we always share a steak. I also have a pot of the chilli pepper sauce left from last weeks Chinese take away which I shall add a dash of cream too to make it more suitable to steak. Ive some pretty wrinkly mushrooms which I will fry with some onions and I have a bit of stilton that's been there since Christmas to melt over the streaks. As that will be so rich Ill do jacket spuds to help counter it all, frozen peas and a tin of sweetcorn - No carrots will be harmed in the making of this meal !!!8

Going to make pizza and salad for lunch, will use wraps as the base as I have a couple in the freezer that have been in there some time. Have made a tomato sauce for the base and have a few wrinkly mushrooms and half a pepper in the fridge which needs using up so will use those plus some onion. Have a mozzarella ball in the fridge so will top with that.

It's the first time I've made it. It was very nice but not the real thing, LOL! Think I prefer my wraps as they are intended with something in the middle and rolled! I like cold roast chicken, red onion and rosemary sausage balls broken up and some salad, usually spread a bit of mayo on the wrap first.
What else does the Joe Wicks version have on it? Is the egg still runny after 10 minutes in the oven, I would have thought it would be hard in that time?

In work I can feed a tonne a day through the peeler. Now we use big brutes of carrots - lumpers we call them. Now some of them are the size of a baby's arm, some the ends have broken, or some are just too curly to go through the machine, so I can easily bring home 20kg of these a day. Now there is nowt wrong with them, other than the machine won't take them and we are too busy to hand peel, so they end up being sent for animal feed. I liberate a bag to feed the donkeys and pony in the field behind me, Before Covid, I had a lot of horse owners Id meet up with to pass them on, now Im struggling to find homes for them. We do eat them ourselves as do the neighbours, but Im talking carrots so big, one is plenty for a family of four
Or put outside with a Free sign for passers-by?
Or a local food bank?(I just lurve spiders!)

We put two more or our never-ending carrots out of their misery this morning! Brunch was a use it up, bottom of the fridge omelette/frittata with onion, shredded carrot, the last of a mixed leaf salad bag, some sad shriveled mushrooms & a sliced tomato - all topped with a handful of grated cheese from the freezer. It was surprisingly tasty for ends of this and that!
Now have to find inspiration for the rest of the carrots and the pounds & pounds of potatoes - they seem to be multiplying!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! I've just donated a bag of jersey royals to my brother (we met up for a dog walk now we're allowed to see other people), so am potato-free, but have one bag of carrots left. I'm relieved to see that I can now get a salad and veg box which has no fruit, and doesn't have potatoes every week. I skipped the veg box last week as I was overwhelmed with it after getting my supermarket delivery as well, so hopefully by the time it arrives I'll be back down to a sensible amount and can clean out the veg drawers before refilling.
I'm always amazed how much soup I can make by saving all the ends/ribs/peelings/outer leaves during the week and making a batch of soup at the weekend. The freezer is getting nicely stocked up!6 -
