fajitas made last night, there are two sticks left, so OH can have those and I'll make a sort of aubergine parmigiana with the little bit of sugo that's left from the pasta the night before the night before. I can use up the last of the jersey milk to make a bechamel sauce [ the down and dirty version with only flour, milk and butter [ no poaching onions for me]
Shampoo? No thanks, I'll have real poo...7 -
Yet again I’ve got sausages out of the freezer after reading on this thread. I’m easily tempted! Mine will be with salad and frittata- made with Maris Pipers from yesterday’s veg box and.....drum roll...a goose egg from the farm shop. I weighed it and it’s nearly half lb. Haven’t had a goose egg for years. Will make bottom of fridge soup this afternoon too. I‘ll add cauli leaves which I always put straight into the freezer. I’m hoping to finally defrost the freezer next week. It really needed it before covid otherwise I wouldn’t be doing it now.6

Lunch today was a bowl of fine egg noodles with the last of the mushrooms and a couple of spring onions in a simple butter/herb/pasta water sauce - simple and tasty using up some ends of this and that 😊4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Made a lasagne tonight using some mince from the freezer and used up the bendy carrots, couple of celery sticks and the last of the garlic and mushrooms. Very nice it was too. Used 2 portions tonight and there are 4 portions to go into the freezer - and the recipe was only for 4 portions but think you'd have to be quite big eaters for that amount! We're not the smallest eaters by any stretch of the imagination!

Sausagemeat toad in the hole was yum last night. I spotted some streaky bacon in the freezer so going to make egg and bacon pie (quiche if you like). I've got plenty of eggs as my cousin told me on the morning he was due to collect them that he did not want the dozen I had for him. I have gently suggested I need a bit more notice next time. It's not a problem for us, I will hard-boil some to have with JR new potatoes and salad if there are too many. But I might make cake...
We are going to make do with no SM shop until Monday (which will be two weeks). Our son was not listening when I asked for 4 pints of organic whole milk - he brought 4x2 pint cartons. Rice pudding is a favourite of husband's so not a big deal but only 2 large carrots left and lots of onions - onion tart anybody? - we are going to need more cream for the pie and tart. Actually, I am going to try and predict the future from the asparagus spears, as on Gogglebox they showed someone who was an Asparamancer...........she would cast the spears and tell the future from the pattern the spears made when they’d fallen, a bit like an asparagussy Pick-a-Stick, I suppose, so I thought I’d have a go, and see what the cosmic asparagusses have to say! 😂(I just lurve spiders!)
