Angel Delight - thank you! Just going to check the BB date... Nov 2013 - should be fine. Just whisked some up for a cheeky dessert (that will save me going to the shops for yogurt).
While rummaging, I found a box of blancmange sachets too BBD 1998 - I can't wait to tell my Mum. We only got back to 2003 when we last played "compare your oldest store-cupboard item"Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

At the moment my jar of spiced coating is based on instant potato powder and has mustard powder, paprika, chilli flakes, onion powder and garlic powder in it. I made up the whole packet of instant mash powder (cheapest one from Mr Ts!).
I don't actually try to emulate the real KFC!

Soup for lunch today and Thai green curry for dinner.Soup was 1/4 of a roasted squash, 3 carrots and the last 4 sprouty potatoes which has easily made 6 portions, 4 of which are in the freezer.Thai curry was prawns, onions and peppers from the freezer, the remnants of a really bland Lidl green paste amongst broccoli and coconut milk. Glad that the paste is done, it really did taste of nothing.Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

We don't have cake very often as I following SW but I've got a few carrots that need using up so going to make some little carrot cakes which I can have within my Syns. They use oats instead of flour so hopefully they'll work out OK.
Meals are from stores as well. This morning I used up some grapes which were getting to the end of their life with a couple of strawberries chopped up with some Greek yoghurt and topped it wit some sugar free granola and very tasty it was too.
Lunch I'll be stuffing a large mushroom with some herby couscous and cover in grated cheese and baking.
Dinner will be a bag of savoury mince and beans from the freezer with some mash and frozen green veg.

We had sad-salad last night, using up the last supplies from the salad drawer before we go away. Pink edged lettuce, tomatoes, usable cucumber, red onion in sweetened vinegar and coleslaw. Oh and red pepper. Just in time with the two avocados and topped up with a little cheese and pickleSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Change of plan for lunch! Made some scotch eggs this morning using some Linda McCartney Red onion and rosemary sausages (1.5 sausages per egg) so had one of those with some salad.
The mushrooms will keep easily until tomorrow even though I picked them up YS on Tuesday! They certainly don't look as though they're out of date!

Left over rice from Tuesday cooked with mince and sauce last night for going inside peppers today, cheese topped and hoping it fills us although not convinced. Since the oven will be on, garlic bread can go in as extra to use up the shelves!Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

DH was out last night (and had his bank card eaten by the cash machine) so not sure if/what he eat but I had some of the previously cooked beef stew with some cabbage, followed by stewed pears (not unlabelled lemon sorbet, after all!) with a little custard. I am so bad at freezing unlabelled pots!!!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

We ended up with Chinese last night as DD1 and family turned up just as I was about to start dinner and didn't leave until 8pm. Lovely to see them but meant it was a bit late to start dinner so ended up at the Chinese down the road. I was probably over-hungry so ended up only eating about 1/4 of it so we'll have more at lunchtime today.
Tonight will be beef stew, mash & frozen veg, both stew and veg from freezer.
