Thursday night we had peri peri chicken wings, using up most of a bottle of very ood peri peri sauce, I made sweet potato fritters with them with the sad sweet potato I saved the other day. Last night was steak and chips and tonight is a Chinese takeaway sponsored by MIL (she's in our bubble) We had our usual cooked breakfast this morning - we used to go out for breakfast before shopping but obviously can't at the moment so I'm making our own. MrPorridge did a minimal shop this morning as he had to do MIL's daily fruit and veg and some of the L*dl Greek antipasti that he likes for his lunches in the week.

Holmefarm I make braised lettuce and peas, sometimes call French style made with or without bacon. You can also make soup with lettuce although I usually add it to other veg when making a one from the bottom of the fridge, but there are recipes for lettuce soup.

Morning all.  Made cottage pie for dinner last night and have a little bit left over so have nabbed that for my lunch today.  Dinner is going to be carbonara as I have some eggs and parmesan that need to be used up, plus spaghetti in the cupboard and bacon in the freezer - all in all a lovely quick and cheap meal.

We had a quick ratatouille with garlic flat bread last night, using up the sad aubergine and one courgette, I added red onions, garlic, yellow pepper, a jar of passata and a couple of handfuls of cherry tomatoes, with lemon zest and dried herbs, salt pepper and a sprinkle of chilli flakes.

Tonight we have our online course so will be having the remnants of the veg chilli and ratatouille with jacket potatoes so we are ready to go in good time. Happy days
