Right - larder cupboard emptied, wiped out and restocked. Massive corner base unit when the plastic containers lived emptied, wiped and containers matched with lids. Other lids/boxes put to recycle. Need to put them back now but I stopped for lunch. Wondering whether to continue cupboard cleaning ...
Oven's had 1 wipe out and more (different) oven cleaner reapplied.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Afternoon all,Well after not sleeping too well (like many of you), and tiring myself out with the amount of teaching and planning I did last week (I'd forgotten how much hard work full time teaching can be), we had a slightly more laid-back day today. We still did Joe Wicks this morning (bonus of all of this exercise is it's actually getting me in shape again), fruit and story, phonics and literacy, but instead of fitting in maths before lunch too, I let DS1 just take longer doing his literacy work, and after lunch printed off a colour by multiplication worksheet for him to do, which he enjoyed. Decluttered some of a union conference call (loads of technical issues - wasn't phoned when I was meant to be and kicked out of the call multiple times) whilst DS1&2 played in the garden with their bubble wands. I've just seen on Facebook that school have created a list of suggested home learning activities for this week, so been putting some of them into my timetable and trying to plan the rest of the week's timetable too. Have also properly joined one of the online resources websites and printed off a couple of pages from there.Moon has been doing some bits and pieces from the kitchen list, and I did some general tidying of toys and hoovering this morning as well. I've just read through today's list and given him a set of kitchen jobs to do now too. Dinner is leftover lasagne and garlic bread, so just needs bunging in the oven, so hopefully the worktops etc shouldn't need too much cleaning.Lovely to see some old faces I recognise popping in - Hi to Juliejim and Mudders!!Get well soon wishes to SkintLoved hearing about your cat Kazwookie - it made me laugh out loud as I can just imagine it.Glad you got your battery going again and you got the prescription sorted out RoundtuitGood luck with the coursework arwenelfWell done everyone who has managed to fly today and hugs and get well wishes where appropriate.sexymouse xEnjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/201713

Hi all
I've managed a wee bit of work
Kitchen s/s , bathroom s/s, doors and handles washed down, WM and TD, kitchen messed up and tidied up a couple of times at feeding time. It's in the process of getting messed just now as dinner is on, online shop finished. I will do the kitchen floor after I tidy up after dinner.I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged12 -
My car battery is also flat 😂😂 good job I don't need to go anywhere for the foreseeable!I got a letter today from a DCA 😒 the money I owed tax credits from yonks ago and totally forgot about has been passed to them for collection 😢😢. I hate TC with a passion, I always gave them the right info, yet they screw up! I could put an arrangement in place to pay term but they want to go over your finances with a fine tooth comb which I just refuse to do. Will put the letter in a drawer for now and think about it tomorrow. We will be walking to the co op shortly as we are out of spuds and eggs and we really really need them. Dog will be glad of the walk, kids less so.Have lovely evenings all xx14

Well whoever knew that with a lot of jiggery pockery (and even more frustration and swearing) I could do some semblance of work at home. Once everything got desperate enough, it would appear. The result is that I have been glued to the laptop and / or a mobile for most of the day, and DH is now stomping about like a neglected toddler.Anyhow - thank you for the lists and for keeping us all in order. Today’s grand flying plans have been reduced to a load of washing (got wet on the line when it decided to pour with rain) and running the dw.Dinner is now impromptu pasta, using my precious pasta and a jar of even more precious sauce.
Lots of hugs and chocolate bars all round xx11 -
My last post was written w-a-a-y before I actually posted it as I hit preview again.
Anyway I have
Cleaned kitchen worktops, sink etc
Cleaned all cupboard doors
Cleaned out fridge and washed shelves etc
Cleaned bottom oven and washed lamp covers in both.
Cleaned tall, shallow larder and plastics etc (deep corner) cupboards. Put odds and sods in recycling.
Repurposed two of 3 ikea boxes from DD's room. One now holds food processor accessories (and they fit in this one!) and the larger one now holds the lids and the lids now live in the bottom of the cupboard as the box is, in effect, a drawer (ie easily pulled out) so what I use most is where I can see it/get to it more easily. If also cleaned the glasses cupboard, the crockery cupboard (also a corner, but a wall cupboard so less deep - again less frequently used crockery is on the top two shelves where I can't easily reach, and the mugs cupboard. I cleaned the cupboard above and below the ovens not long ago following a spillage. So there's the cupboard-under-the-sink, the one at the side of the DW and I think that's it. Then there are the drawers...
Need to do the floor next but have stopped for tea. Curry and rice as I spotted the curry powder was almost OOD.
I've also done some work stuff.

Wow, Valli you have been busy!
Since my last post I have sorted through some papers and recycled some. I still have a pile to deal with though..... WM has been on again, and DS's bedding has been dried and bed remade. DH spent a long time cleaning up in there, and also dusted our room.
I vac'd the LR and walked the dog. I have managed my 8k steps today 😊 easy peasy!!
Tonight I am going to try and declutter some magazines so they can be filed/recycled, and watch a bit of telly hopefully (although DH has the remote at the moment, watching utube vids of rollercoaster rides)
Have a good evening everyone x10 -
Yes but it took me ALL DAY GI!
Anyway, tea eaten, WUALTD or put in DW as appropriate. TD filter vacuumed and cat flap wiped then cloth in WM. I will add some towels for a hot wash tonight.
Kitchen floor vacuumed and steam mopped.
That's it - that room done.
Not touched DR at all though, so I will do that tomorrow. Looked at M1 cameras just for the novelty of seeing it *almost* deserted and checked to see if extension to MOT has been applied yet. It hasn't. Also spoke to boss; colleague suddenly and unexpectedly bereaved; has asked me to sort flowers (because I always do) - we send/give flowers for special birthdays, too so I don't know who's going to sort mine out for later this year *giggle*.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all
Work was busy yesterday but I felt like it was a really unproductive day, couldn’t get stuck in to tasks, other people interrupting and I successfully managed to distract myself on several occasions. Must do better today!
Another poor nights sleep last night, I’m struggling with this like many at the moment. But I’m up, I shall get myself moving and get my dailies done, most of today’s list already done, after the recent redecoration the master bedroom is the cleanest tidiest room in the house!
i will get the paid stuff done and will then tackle a few off list jobs.
have a good day, stay safe x12 -
Morning xx
Hugs to BadCat xx
I should have known things come in threes!
car battery flat - sorted. Check.
dad panicking re: prescription - sorted. Check.
And so to bed....
woken up by a voice saying 'Mu-um. Are you awake?' 'Yep' (subtext - I wasn't, but I am now) 'Can I talk to you?' 'Yep' (subtext - oh my days now what?' 'Can I come in?' 'Yep' (subtext - but don't put the light on) 'Can I put the light on?' 'Yep'. ….followed by a long chat with DS about something he did 9 years ago and which had resurrected. Nothing illegal. Nothing major. But something bothering him - I knew he was stressing about something. Didn't I say? We all did things when we were 18 that we're not proud of. I know I did. (I didn't tell him what I did!!!!). Hindsight is a wonderful thing. A learning curve. Let it go. Let it go. Suggested that he go out for the allowed walk every day and, if there are any of the temporary jobs still available, apply. He's my son - too much time to think is not a good thing. Plus I'm going back to work today and I think he's worried about that too. I can't say that I'm ecstatic - I'm definitely one of the 'thankful I have a job to go to / terrified I have a job to go to' brigade.
I'm havering. My stomach is in knots, but I'm washed and dressed and my lunch is packed. I've made my bed, and I will put out the recycling and feed the birds before I set off.... ten minutes later than usual as there won't be any school traffic etc.
Take care. Stay safe.
