Dishes washed, second wash load in machine, bathrooms s&sd and picture of sun now in window, only two days late.Spend less now, work less later.13

Venetian blinds in bedroom and ensuite cleaned. Cobwebs removed from the same windows. Windows cleaned, and a big cheery wave from the neighbour who was walking his dog, making fun of my window cleaning actions! Not helped that I was grinning inanely as I was listening to a podcast at the same time. Ensuite cleaned thoroughly (it is teeny tiny) and towels in the wm.
I’m stopping for a catch up on here and a coffee if anyone fancies joining me ☕️. Then I will dust and vacuum the bedroom. Might even get the steps out to reach the Places That I Usually Ignore.12 -
Morning All. Wow - everyone's being so productive! Very impressive. Mrs MoneyPenny posted photographs on Facebook of hats and masks she's making that are needed in her local hospital which got me to thinking, so I'm making easily washable masks and aprons for use in this house if one of us gets this lurgy. They won't stop the others getting infected but they're more effective than nothing if one of us is coughing to hold back the tide even if only briefly, so to speak. My sewing skills aren't good enough for hospital standard, but they'll do for us for home nursing. OH is surprisingly keen on his little pile of masks already.

Hall, stairs and landing dusted and polished and hall floor washed. Taking time out now for a cuppa and sudoku.Spend less now, work less later.13

A HoneyBear - I've seen that masks and scrubs are being sewn for the NHS - my skills aren't that good. I have knitted 1 little cannula sleeve for newborns - simple enough and only garter stitch. I do have a sewing project for work as I need to hem a cloth and add velcro to drape over a cabinet but I need to source the velcro first. I did spot some in the haberdashery in town but didn't know the length then. Too late now. I *could* try ebay.
WUALTD, stuff moved. I have a huge Really Useful Box half empty in the shed; I'm thinking of putting it in the little bedsroom (DD's when she 's here) to store some of her stuff in. DS was planning on buying a house with his GF - that'll be on hold. Once (if ever) he goes I can put her stuff in the wardobes in that room. I have her stuff because she has a room in a shared house. I itch to be organised and sorted.
Towels and yesterday's washing on the line. Yesterday's got slightly rained on.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Good afternoon.
Well, the bad news is, round 1 not completed - I'm going to clean up the kitchen later. The goods news is I have hung out 2 wash loads, put away all of the clothes from my chairdrobe and have started clearing out the many bags of toot (mainly receipts, presents received - odds and sods, stuff to be chucked or put away). I have had lunch and a cuppa, so need to crack on. Lots of dust to be dusted!!
DD2 & I are also going to video call 2 little brothers that we normally see in the school holidays, to have a break in the monotony for us and them 😊12 -
Morning Afternoon all [waves]
I got up early, as usual. DH surfaced at 09.45, so we are all behind!
After breakfast I hoovered all through downstairs. Then, whilst drinking coffee, I thought I'd see if I could get a MrS delivery, and lo and behold! I've grabbed one on Friday evening. So I've ordered all the things that are about to run out
Must go and clean the ensuite before lunch, then I'll give Rosie her walk, as the sun is shining. Might plant a few seeds too...
This evening my goddaughter is teaching an exercise class via z00m, which will be a challenge for me - she is a champion kick boxer and I'm an overweight, unfit 71yo with arthritis in my knees and shoulders!!! I think I'd better set up the K!nd1e downstairs, where we have solid floors, rather than in the study
Hope your first day back at work is progressing well, Round.
Go steady, Skint!
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed xx13 -
Bedroom dusted and thoroughly vacuumed. It took an age. Everything has been pulled out from under the bed, although DH’s treasures have been dusted and put back. A job for another day. 1 storage box is in the spare room and I will investigate it later.
Lunch made. Hummus made. WULTD. Had a 3 way shoutabout with the neighbours - everyone well and in good spirits.
Off to paint the furniture that I prepped at the weekend.

I have started in the living room, I think it is going to take a few days or maybe even until the end of the week. I did 30 minutes after lunch and then had a planned virtual coffee and chat with my friend. Nice to catch up on all the news.
Just had a cup of tea and biscuit with OH, just 1 biscuit I am rationing them. Partly so they last but mainly because neither of us are getting enough exercise.
He's gone back to work so I will go and iron and put away today's load of washing. Then back to my living room and it's the library shelves to tidy next.

Sewing bonus: All the ironing has now been done. Three table cloths and a table runner (from Christmas Day - ooops) and a pair of curtains, all too big to be done quickly which is why they've been hanging around for months. Plus which the ironing board cover was a ripped and singed disaster but that was replaced a few weeks ago and the ironing pile just glared at me malevolently from the corner of my office. Now ironed and banished to the loft until further notice.
Better is good enough.13
