Thank you for the above, I must admit I've been scouring the TUI website, couldn't find that!
Mine is a mixture of DD, Amex via PayPal (card still active) and Debit card (card still active)... I guess 28 days is the charm!0 -
A friend and I were due to holiday with Holiday Hypermarket/TUI 16th March. Still waiting for our refund! Offered voucher 28th May replied and asked for a cash refund now been told because it was booked online it’s not TUI responsibility and Holiday Hypermarket are saying we booked in a shop!! so not there department. So don’t know where to go to now!!! Has anyone else had this problem?0

I’ve just received my refund from TUI, so I thought I’d cobble together a quick post about the timescales involved (at least for me).
I paid for the entire lot in one go via credit card - £2,200.
* TUI cancelled holiday, and let me know what options were 10/07
* Requested cancellation and refund 13/07
* TUI e-mail letting new know that the refund was confirmed midday 03/08
* Hit credit card account evening 04/08
* Arranged for transfer to bank account 05/08
* Refund in bank account 06/08
So 22 days between requesting the refund and me actually getting it.

As with most others, refund for cancelled September holiday to Greece has been refunded by TUI.
Took a total of 21 working days, with C/C refund back to the card rec'd first, & D/D refund 3 days later. I ignored all the cancellation emails that rolled in & didn't make much financial sense. D/Ds seemingly allocated to the C/C, amounts incorrect, balance 'zero', all sorts of gobbledy gook & it was best not to spend ages on the 'phone for explanations given the comments on here about that. Just wait it out, they do seem to be meeting their "28 working days" refund target (I hope for everyone).Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0 -
I booked a TUI flight and cruise package through a 3rd party travel agent on 1st February 2020 and paid cash - was due to travel on 27th March. They rang and cancelled it on 15th March due to the current situation. They said we should receive a refund within 10 working days. To date we still havent received our refund. They either ignore our e mails or just reply with a "we are working through the refunds".Then yesterday have informed me they haven't yet received the refund from TUI.I am getting very anxious that we will not receive any refund and its is over £1,700 and its been 21 weeks since cancellation. Can anyone advise?

My holiday to mentenegro in July was cancelled at the end of June. We paid by debit card. Advised by tui on 1 July that we would have a refund withing 28 days. My partner spoke to them and we got an email confirming this but still no money. No way of contacting tui as emails come back with and phone system is automated. I'm so frustrated as I was at least going to use that money on going somewhere in the UK as I just can't afford to pay out for a other holiday like that. Its my money paid for a holiday that for whatever reason they couldn't fulfil (and there isn't a chance I'd go abroad at this time anyway so I understand totally why it's been cancelled) but I just don't understand why it's taking so long. What is going on?? Appreciate were all in the same boat but if anyone knows what is going on I'd be grateful.

TUI refund of "28 days" is 28 WORKING days, so a few days late. Check your a/c tomorrow & as etch has shown in the link, contact your bank & request a chargeback.
Check on-line with your provider first for their process & what they will expect you to supply to support your request. Might be possible to get it underway on-line.
This will help you understand the process https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/visa-mastercard-chargeback/Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0
