Update: originally received an email on the 4th July for cancelled flights 24th May to 28th May for a full refund. No refund has been made. This morning I have received another email apologising for the delay and the refund should be made within  the next 10 days. Hmmmm watch this space.
Im exactly the same as you! I though an unusually high amount of us got the email on the 4th so it was some sort of delaying tactic. I still don't hold out much hope.
It's a joke. I'm really starting to lose all hope of getting this refund. I had three holidays planned this year. The first was in March and  with P & O. Great customer service received and everything dealt with swiftly. Holiday booked with Tui a deposit was paid and balance due 24th May. I deferred that holiday for no extra cost and dont need to pay the balance until 12 weeks before departure! Not ideal . Easyjet have been disgraceful and will not be using them again
    Mortgage free 25/9/2019 8years and 7 months early 😁😁😁
  • I had flights booked for next week, wanted to rebook for the same period next year (outside of the 14 day change fee window) so, on the advice of Easyjet helpline, booked 'holding' flights for May 2021, making sure they were no more expensive than the original flight.  Obviously flights were released today for next summer, so I went to rebook.  The original flights for next week cost £1,211.  They want an additional £1,016 for identical flights next year.

The weird thing is that to book the flights as a new booking, the cost is £1550.  I don't mean to whinge but don't know what this means or what the best course of action is here?

    Hi,
We are due to fly to Portugal on 29th July 2020 (flight only), I have tried for the last 3 days spending hours on hold trying to get through to Easyjet as our flight has not been cancelled. Government website says we still have to quarantine on return for 14 days which I cannot do because of work. Any advice where we stand?
Unless you're going to The Azures or Madiera then the FCO advice is still not to travel to Portugal.

You should therefore be able to claim on your travel insurance, assuming that it was bought (and the flights booked) before March.
  • At ruddy last!
Refund finally hit the credit card account!

  • Mine finally refunded today too. They constantly lied to me (When you could get a hold of them). I will think very long and hard before I book with easyjet again. Jet2 will be first in line for my money in the future. Shysters.

Hope this information can help somebody. Easyjet cancelled our outbound flight in July. I completed the online refund form and was emailed by easyjet to say we would receive a refund. Then a day later received another email to say that our return flights time had changed and allocated seating had been cancelled. After trying to phone them without success to point out my return flight are totally worthless to me if I am situated in the UK. I contacted my credit card and processed a chargeback. The money was refunded by my credit card 2 days later. The same day I contacted credit card company I emailed easyjet (customer.support@easyjet.com) and notified them that I had contacted my credit card to process a refund because I couldnt  contact their useless customer services. I received an email from Easyjet 8 hours later saying that they were sorry for the delay and would refund my money in 10 days. If I had not contacted my credit card company I dont think I would have even got a reply from them. Definitely wont be using Easy jet for a few years and they will always be my last option now, even if that means paying more for flights with another airline.
  • Our flights were cancelled back in May, requested refund on day we received the email- so 18th May, took a couple of months but the refund went back onto my credit card on 18th July, intermittently sent messages to EJ via Twitter to chase it up, then decided to email everyone including the CEO and the customer services director...few days later received email reply to say payment had been processed. Full refund amount appeared on my credit card account around 10 days later.
