Update: originally received an email on the 4th July for cancelled flights 24th May to 28th May for a full refund. No refund has been made. This morning I have received another email apologising for the delay and the refund should be made within  the next 10 days. Hmmmm watch this space.
I have had two of those emails this morning, one for a flight I have already received a refund for, and one for a flight that I had an email on 10/07/20 stating I will get a refund for the cancelled flight (which has not yet cleared to my account).
  • finally I have been paid!
It took them 128 days in the end - a lot of phone calls and writing to the CEO ( no reply from him by the way) I am now going to forget this whole experience as fast as i can. Oh and not use Easyjet for a couple of years.
  • Hi, I accepted a voucher for my cancelled flight (June 2020). I can't use the voucher code online. I have to call... Easier said than done! Since the June 2021 flights were released this morning my flight from last year was double the price at 7:45am. It is now 3x the price and I still can't get through on the phone. What can I do? Can I demand a full refund rather than the voucher somehow? I felt I was doing the right thing by accepting the voucher, as all the advice at the time was to do that to help travel companies. I now feel totally fleeced by this company! A company that I travel with frequently. Anyone else having similar problems or can offer some next steps?

Im exactly the same as you! I though an unusually high amount of us got the email on the 4th so it was some sort of delaying tactic. I still don't hold out much hope.
    Mortgage started August 2020 £69,700
Mortgage ends Aug 2050 MFW: Aug 2027

    MFW2021 #26 £1184.71
    MFW2022 #11 £197.87
    MFW2023 £785
    MFW 2024 £528.15

    Determined to make it!
  • Easyjet are obviously playing for time as I've had a similar experience to some above
4/7 - Had email to say that the refund had been processed
13/7 - Phoned up as no sign of refund into my account and told I had to wait 7-10 days for an ARN number to be generated
16/7 - Email received to say that they have processed the refund.

I'm guessing that the 1st email was just a delaying tactic and if you do get notification that they have refunded your flight my advice would be to ring them up immediately and ask for the ARN.

We have the same issue, just like you trying to do the right thing and not bankrupt the company, but can’t book on line and can’t get through on the phone.  Fortunately we are both still working but can’t sit on the phone all day!
How do we get this atrocious practice out in the public domain?
Can we now apply for a refund having previously accepted a voucher?
Can we claim on our travel insurance?
Do we take them to the Ombudsman or the small claims court?
I’m incensed at how I’m being treated, when I was trying to be fair.  Grrr!!!!

I actually think that they had a problem with a batch of refunds from the 4th.  I actually received part payment on the 7th (for the seat bookings which we had done separately to the flight bookings) so clearly something went through.

It is so frustrating. I am so angry with it all. These companies need to be held accountable! I hope that you get yours sorted.
  • Hi,
We are due to fly to Portugal on 29th July 2020 (flight only), I have tried for the last 3 days spending hours on hold trying to get through to Easyjet as our flight has not been cancelled. Government website says we still have to quarantine on return for 14 days which I cannot do because of work. Any advice where we stand?
