Got an email today from easyjet about cancellation of my flight on 16th Apr Antalya to Gatwick. It is offering a free change of date or route or a voucher online. But the validity of the voucher is 12 months. And you can book flights using the voucher beyond the validity of the voucher, which suits me. I think I might go for the voucher.I wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T0

A message from Johan, CEO easyJet ....
Hello,
On behalf of everyone at easyJet, I hope you and your loved ones are healthy and safe at this time.
I wanted to write to you to let you know what's been happening at easyJet.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been working hard to repatriate more than 45,000 customers from across Europe, and we will continue to work with governments to support the ongoing effort to get people home where needed.
However, with our number one priority being the safety and wellbeing of customers and crew, and with the travel restrictions across Europe, we took the decision to temporarily ground all of our fleet of aircraft. This means that throughout April, there will be no easyJet flights operating anywhere on our network other than for repatriation.
If your flight is cancelled as a result of this, I am sorry. Our customer service team will be in touch to let you know how to switch to a new flight, get a voucher or be reimbursed. We are currently dealing with an unprecedented number of calls and are working hard to try and process these as quickly as we can - however, with a number of our service centres directly affected by government restrictions, it may take longer than usual and so we thank you for your patience.
I know that this has been a difficult and frustrating time for many of you who have had travel plans disrupted, who may have waited on calls, or who faced difficulties booking onto rescue flights, so I am sorry if this has been the case.
Rest assured, my team and I are working around the clock trying to ease the disruption as much as we can. I am extremely proud of the way that everyone here, from call centre staff to the crew onboard, has given their all at such a challenging time.
Looking to the future
We’re missing travel as much as anyone and will continue to evaluate when we can start flying again. As soon as we can do so safely, we’ll be back in the skies again – proudly taking you on your holidays, business trips, and weekends away with friends and loved ones.
Until then, I wanted to say thank you for your support and understanding. Please look after yourselves, and we look forward to warmly welcoming you back on board one day soon.
Sincerely,
Johan Lundgren
CEO, easyJet

Morning, after trying off and on all week I started ringing today at 8am, took 40 minutes (76 tries!) to even get into the queue but the call was answered after about 15 mins and full refund issues with no problem whatsoever - email confirmation just popped up too.
Might be a good time to call??0 -

I love easyjet, they are a decent company and deserve support, just that they do not fly very often to my regular destinations...0 -
I rang on Monday 30th (to the 0161 number which is apparently offline). Was on hold for about 3 1/4 hours - just like having a poor quality radio on! No issues at all getting confirmation that we'd be refunded; our flights had already been cancelled by EasyJet and we were past the dates.
The refund has cleared, but it's £2 short on the original payment, sorry the formatting on the next bit is odd as I pasted it in.
Guessing it's a payment provider fee? But there's nothing in the email about it. We're not going to argue over £2, but thought it might be worth a warning that there may be a deduction.Payment of £176.94 by Mastercard on 05/02/2020
Payment of £174.94 by Credit Shell on 30/03/2020
Refund of £174.94 to Mastercard on 30/03/2020

After several days of tweeting, I finally managed to get through via Twitter. I have been told a full refund will clear my bank in 3-5 working days. Let's see what happens! Thanks to all the angels who post! :A0

As all flights are grounded till June, I am assuming my roundtrip flights 21st -28th May will not be going anywhere. How soon before the flight dates are EasyJet actually cancelling? I have had the generic email with FAQ and suggestions about making changes to my booking without a charge. In the FAQ there is this :
What do I do if my flight is impacted due to confirmed restrictions implemented by certain countries?
with the answer "If you have not received any communication from us, your flight is operating as normal."How can they state the flight is operating as normal? I assume this is their way to not have to deal with 2 months of cancellations at the same time. As there are no possible options for my group to change to I want a refund. But when will they actually cancel the flights? What is the timeframe for this at the moment?
