Book finished.
Potatoes planted.Lunch of rather tasty leftovers being scoffed.I’m with you, round. I find that if I have to sit through the 10pm news with DH and his seemingly insatiable appetite for news reading, watching and listening, then I don’t sleep for worrying. I’ve caught myself picking up the phone “just to have a read” and wishing that I hadn’t done it for the trillionth time in a day. So now I don’t any more than twice a day.Children next door are having outside learning and really engaging. Hats off to all you parents of small ones.8 -

Good afternoon
Skint (((hugs))) to you. Be kind to yourself and look after yourself - the housework can wait!
Kaz that's good news! Are you able to physically move in now? My DD1 is so relieved that she moved on Wednesday, as the housing market is shutting down now.
Valli do you think (I know it is rumour, and might not happen!) that will be the same for childcare provision as well? I work all year round normally, with just a few weeks off here and there.
Ok - not much going on hereI phoned the dentist and they agreed to see me. I was taken into a room to leave my coat and bag, and to wash my hands. Then it was hand sanitiser and wait in the waiting room. I was the only one there, and the front door is locked. Bad news is that it is a posted crown, and the post has snapped so they can't do anything
I will need to go back when they are open properly - she said that may be about 6 months!
Good news is..... they didn't charge me!
I bought some milk, bread, bacon and coco pops on the way home, and not much has happened since! I am now watching How to Deep Clean Your Home that was on TV last night. I might have to break out the steam cleaner!
I have managed to do the Friday money juggle, checked emails and deleted some & filed others, chased an email reply and submitted my funding estimate.
Hugs, sticks and spoons to those that need them x

GI I have sold only, the new property is at least 12 weeks away if not more ,as an old couple are moving, but they are currently refusing to go anywhere (quite rightly ) for now. the gap was only going to be about 2 to 3 weeks then all this happened, its life....................

I’m trying to figure out “see saw” for online dancing school stuff.
Ironing (this mornings) put away; washing brought in, ironed and is now airing. First section needing forking over has been, many roots removed plus one house brick. Many years ago that was the rabbit run and we had diggers who could have put the miners to shame. OH (as he was at that time) 'solved' the tunnelling by putting bricks/rocks down the holes. The potatoes have been planted and the rows marked with canes.
So, end of week one - laundry COMPLETELY caught up with and vegetable bed reclaimed. Very pleased with myself for that. However work in the house has been minimal.

Hi all
Narc0 I am so glad DS just finished chemo before all this really started to become a problem, would hate to think what would have happened if they had delayed his treatment. And skint, agree with everyone else, look after yourself x
Productive day at the paid stuff, DS1 has been keeping himself busy with some little jobs outside. My reduced hours for compassionate leave ends today so its back to full time next week. Anxiety is bothering me, I am trying not to watch the news too much. The main thing is that DS2 is on day 5 of isolation and no symptoms so far which is good.
Have sorted laundry and washed floors, just having five minutes then might run hoover around, or might leave it until tomorrow. Stay safe and well everyone x11 -
Evening all [waves] - and I hope you've had a good day.
Last night I was so tired - both physically and mentally - that I decided I needed a day off in which I would only do what I wanted to do. It has turned out to be very productive, as I have managed to
- take a photo of the sunrise
- make a quick dash to the corner shop and get bread and mushrooms; there was no milk available, but when I came home I found I'd still got a small bottle in the utility fridge
- make a WhatsApp video call to DS2 and family after watching a YouTube video they'd made in their own home
- hoover and dust all through, both upstairs and downstairs
- S&S ensuite and bathroom
- S&S kitchen (pleased to say that the ants have not returned)
- enjoy the sunshine and play with Rosie whilst cutting down dead stalks in one of the back borders
- answer the phone to one of the Old Wives, who is taking a very positive attitude despite her frailty
- declutter a few zzz after lunch
- take Rosie for her walk
- plant (seed) potatoes in green sacks
- realise that I had left my mobile and the house phone outside on top of the compost bin since doing the gardening this morning, so had missed a phonecall from my boss (but he hasn't tried ringing again so it can't have been all that important)
- find where I'd hidden the rest of the 5kg bag of (eating) potatoes in a dark corner in the back porch
- tell DH that the seed trays will have to go on his bedroom windowsill, because the kitchen and DR sills are full of rampant geraniums that I bought at least 3 years ago for the garden, but it's far too early to put them outside yet
- mend two of Rosie's toys that were losing their stuffing
- take a photo of the sunset
No wonder I feel a lot better this evening
Everyone, please be kind to yourself xxx10 -
Good evening!
News flash! I actually did some flying!! Inspired by Aggie, I cleaned my oven!!!
I have also cooked dinner, put on the DW and washed up the rest. Yay me!
Well done Valli on the veggie bed. Now is probably not the right time to introduce you to no-dig gardening?!
I need to have a little look at my accounts. This might be the year I file my tax return in April!!Now, that would be a good habit to get into!
It's the weekend!! (at least I think it is, isn't it?) Have a good evening everyone
