Morning, Skinty reporting for duty finally. It has been an awful week. Half killed myself working at Mummy Skints house with a friend on Monday for the last time, putting urgent things right for my Toxic Sister before inevitable lockdown.
I don't have the physical strength of youth, but I do try to persist wth progress even if it means sitting down and changing tasks. My TS is one of these entitled people who thinks rules do not apply to her, but spends her life criticizing, pointing the finger at others and scoring points to vindicate herself.
She felt it was a good time to get a cheap shot in with my friend while working on the kitchen , about my abusive relationship followed with a hearty belly laugh. After telling her that her comments where hurtful and thoroughly in appropriate, hoping a contrite apology, she proceeded to follow back to where I was working on the foor, got down on the carpet next to me, blocked me in so I had no escape and kept herself 9 inches from my face as she spent 5 minutes bellowing perceived shortcomings at me. With total disrespect for social distancing and human decency, despite asking her to back away, she continued.
We finished up, I had all her rubbish bungled in my car, despite me protesting the dumps could be closed before I would have the strength to empty it. I got home and the Black Dog followed me, so I just couldn't bring myself to get on Fred at all. So lots of flying at Mummy Skints but I don't really count that.
Proverbial hit the fan as the gossip mill went into overdrive Tuesday as we heard a rumour a family member had been taken by hospital. His phone was switched off, and we didn't have phone number for wife, and NONE of them were on social media. So frantically we had to track back someone who had a phone number......and after speaking with his wife, it was confirmed rumours were true, and worse it was Corona and everyone has been told hope for a miracle, but prepare for the worst..... Naturally I didn't feel like poking my head out of the door, even for bread. Woke up Wednesday still out of sorts and exhausted, but after 2 shocking days back to back, it's to be expected. Developed sore throat Wednesday afternoon and now in full blown lockdown for everyone incl DD 1...we will not add to this problem.
Yesterday I managed WUDUPA, and that's it rested and tried to do positive self care instead. I've done last night's WUDUPA at 6 this morning and returned to bed, but the Skint Pit has resumed true Pit Status because I have been off piste since Sunday..
So,now I am back on Fred, I am going to make brew, lurk and read back for a bit, aim for some self care and then try to do something so I don't feel sorrier for myself than I actually have to in the circumstances. And, no home schooling til after Easter.... now is not the time.
Hugs, sticks and spoons to us all xxx

Look after yourself, skint. ((Hugs)).
I’m still deciding the priorities for the day. At the moment, it is a bowl of porridge (forgot to do the overnight oats last night, and I’m rationing out the bread), and my book with a cup of tea.
I do have some emails that I have to send - 3 for me and 2 that DD wants a hand with. I also need to make some bread and top up the bird feeders. The message seems to have gone out (on twitter?.......sorry, I’ll leave now!) that there is bird food in our front garden and the small birds are fighting to get on the holder.Back when I’ve finished my book....oh the luxury of a morning read.9 -
Morning all. Hopefully last day of digging over. Next job will be forking it through to remove weeds and couch grass as much as possible though Ive already taken out two bucketsful. I also have 6 seed potatoes to plant, collected from the aged P's when I dropped off shopping.
I don't know if any of you have picked up on this but there is talk that schools won't be open until September. I do not KNOW this though.

My dots have all joined up. My landing is now ready to be vacuumed and washed but I need to wait until OH has a pause in conference calls, but so pleased the end is in sight.
Coffee time now.11 -
Congratulations on joining up the dots Mademoiselle
I did the opposite Fayolle - toast for breakfast instead of porridge or cereal to help ration the milk. We are ok for bread.
Valli - that seems to be the assumption in this neck of the woods too. Y6 have had their last day at primary school and secondary schools are sending out reassuring letters as Y6 will not have the usual transition days. Time will tell.
Round 1 completed + glass bottles soaking ready to be recycled and added more items to my Mr M shop for delivery tomorrow, to avoid having to poke my head into the great BIG outside world until I absolutely have to (which will be to get petrol on Monday ready for work on Tuesday.)
I am rationing my news intake as from yesterday. National news at 1pm and local news at 6.30 pm is healthier than having the news channel on in the background fuelling my angst. I'm sure a fb friend will alert me if I need to hide under the stairs - not that I can as that is the cupboard of doom - under the duvet then.
Take care

I've done it, my landing is finished. And it looks nice. So upstairs in my house is now sorted, tidy and relatively clean. Now just needs weekly attention to keep on top of it. It was definitely the worst part of the main house.
Where next? Stairs, they actually just need a really good clean so might just use dustpan and brush and then wash them with a microfibre cloth.
I also need to sit down and get the banking and saving spreadsheets up to date. Admin has been somewhat neglected these last few days, how strange is it that I have prefered sorting and cleaning!
Better go and think about lunch for OH.

Skinty do what we all say and look after yourselves.
Beyond excited when I looked on the doorstep this morning and there the 1 large and 4 small yogurts - maybe not quite as ordered as I asked for 2 x 4 yogurt pack, but never mind. I also managed to order veg seeds on line last night, having investigated the bag of seeds I'd bought in the sales last year and found it was nearly all flowers. Less luck with booking a supermarket slot - at seconds after midnight, Mr T site collapsed. It reappeared about 6 mins later with 2 extra days worth of slots, all of which were full. Ditto Mr A although no site collapse. We're fine till at least next Tues/Wed, longer if we have to although curious rarely-bought items are appearing on our shopping list like custard powder. I'm wondering if I should order more gf flour, I get it 7/8 packs at a time from Amaz* as the only one I can eat is from Australia!
This morning seems to have been full of phone calls - pleasant, social, but time-consuming from my mum, a friend living in a flat in Harlow and we also rang BIL as it's his birthday. He's on his week off but is in the dilemma that he works for Mr T in the warehouse but is classed as vulnerable because of asthma, plus he gives another non-driving colleague a lift to work. He plans to go in on Sun for his next shift and see what safety arrangements are in place as although he isn't customer-facing, who knows who his colleagues have mixed with.
Must get back to my report, finish of this one is in sight although I have a training webinar at 2pm. Interesting 'rumour' regarding school closure Valli. I'm still getting daily updates from the university.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11
