Not sure if you've seen it Deleted_User but my DS1 is really motivated by technology or computer games etc. Google have a list of animals and birds that you can search for and then see in AR in your own home using a device such as a smartphone or tablet. I rewarded DS1 with time using my phone and exploring and taking photos of the different animals he found. He thought it was hilarious to take photos of all of their bottoms! My DS1 is in year 2 so 7 years old. Also there are quite a few celebrities doing online classes such as Maddie Moate from CBeebies who does science lessons on youtube (Let's Go Live). I try to plan in a mix of these types of online learning with non screen-time activities. DS2 is only 3, so I've been getting DS1 to teach him his alphabet and letter sounds, but yesterday they both played with the playdough and some alphabet cutters - could easily be turned into a spelling activity and is good for fine motor skills too. Don't understimate everyday tasks such as helping you to write the shopping list, or he could even create a list of learning or fun tasks that he'd like to do (he'll be doing writing for a purpose so won't think about it). If you're on Facebook, there's a group called Stuck in with the Kids, which has loads of examples of resources and activities people have used.Well I must admit that aside from doing the meal plan for the week and cleaning the trolley at the supermarket today, little flying has been done by me today. I've not been sleeping properly (partly stress and partly because we need a new mattress and I'm getting back pain) and feel a bit yuck this evening. I had to go to 3 different supermarkets to get all of the items my Dad asked me to get as well as what we needed. Still couldn't get a couple of things we needed and forgot my Dad's coffee as it wasn't on his original list, so a top-up may be needed later in the week unfortunately.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20179

I must say I am LOVING having my beasties at home..DS1 still working.I am coughing up my spleen.. lungs gone already! I felt awful this morning but rather more beany now. The girls are eager to earn their jelly beans but I just need a month long nap! I cannot stay awake, 2 lots of pain meds and 2 lots of hayfever meds I am a drooling baboon! I cannot do a thing.
3x WM
Stuff hung out and dried and one load of pants and socks flung in the dryer. TOwels and a duvet hung around the house.. I ran out of line.
Catio coming on.. OH thinks it is for the kittens, but Squeak and I know it is Maine Coon prep... ssshhhh OH is too daft to notice. I don't want my mini-fluffs wandering all over, they might actually get eaten as things are!
I'm having to go shopping every other day.. I can't cope with this.. I do 3 shops a month at best.. I hate people and I have never been out so much since this silliness started.. I just want to be at home!! Is it asking too much. I have discovered having a massive coughing fit clears queues in all directions.. Hayfever this bad can be a blessing! haha.. We have a click and collect booked for Monday so OH can go get that.. I'm not going, I refuse. I'm hoping to catch up to an approved food order at some point too. That is usually where I stock up on loo roll and hand wash and the like.. doubt they will have anything now with all the weirdos in their loo roll fortresses!

Morning all.I'm not expecting to get a lot done today. It's Sunday after all!
Has anyone else noticed that surfaces are not getting as dusty as usual? Must be the drop in pollution or my eyesight is getting worse.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.10 -

And who forgot to put the bedroom clock forward 😳. Up now, and contemplating the very blowy day with a cuppa.I’m not sure that I will achieve much again today, although I do want to venture in to clean the DR that DH is using as an office.DH is going to sand down a chest of drawers that we are going to rehouse in the back bedroom, after I have painted it, so that’s a job lined up for me.Need a rocket up the derrière this morning. I have plenty of jobs, just don’t seem to have the guag.8 -
Morning all
I've had a lovey lie in and feel good for it. It's overcast with a chilly wind here, just as they forecast. I will get a wash on the go shortly, then need to make the batter for tonight's toad in the hole. I also put fruit to soak yesterday for a tea loaf so will get that in the oven . Oh and walk the dog!Thank you sexymouse and Iona I really appreciate your comments. Iona that article was fascinating that your friend wrote, and has given me a very new perspective of seeing things through the kids eyes at this weird time, much food for thought, thank you xx
We haven't spent a penny since Tuesday and it's really weird, normally by this point in the month I am starting to panic, it's odd not logging into parent pay each Friday and sending over £50 to school for childcare!I hope everyone has a super Sunday, remember to look after yourself, do that face mask, paint your nails, have a nap, soak your feet, just be kind of YOU xxx8 -
Morning all
Well I managed a full house clean yesterday, it was too windy to do the garden. Also taxed car online, shuffled money, posted some cards to friend and my niece, sent some emails an decluttered an afternoon nap.
This morning I’ve been awake since 3.. I suspect I will start to flag soon but while the going is good I have wm x1 on line, wm x 2 is swishing, cat litter trays emptied washed and refilled, peeled spuds and prepped salad for this evening. Just about to pop to the shop for some fruit, after that I think it might be read a book Sunday but will see if I fancy tackling any other jobs later on.
have a good day all, stay safe x7 -
Fayolle, you rest up for today, your get up and go will come back, read / knit / watch telly etcIt is hailing here, it is currently so rough out there OH has cancelled our walk / exercise outside, but says we will go and get some food in a bit, I have suggested at least enough for 5 to 10 days, so we will see what we can get, the rental has a largish freezer, so fresh stuff that freezes, will be what I am looking out for, brought the store cupboard of stuff with us, but I did run it down, so might look out for rice / cous cous etc.OH says we need when out to see if we can find anything to keep us busy, as we are going to go mad watching telly / dvd's all day, it is not something we are us to. I was going to join the local library but that is closed.Flying, kitchen bin emptied and floor done!I hope you all have a good day, stay safe xBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Kaz.. have a look on your local fb groups there are people here putting boxes of books out for people to take as they walk by.
Xbox ban in place and girls banished form the room before I murder them.. the whining and squabbling over a stupid game is not tolerated ever.. they were bellowed at at the top of my lungs (and I'm NOT quiet at the best of times) so my throat is screaming back at me..it hurts so much I can hear it.
Hazel has lost the plot and turded on my worktop and on the cooker overnight.. she has always been weird about litter trays but I cannot deal with this.. but at least my house smells of jeyes fluid again (smells like a public loo!!)
Hung out washing.. it started spitting and DS1 (meaning well) brought it in.. now I get to hang it out again.. *rage*
I have a spot on my chin which only points to one thing.. AF.. fortunately I purchased 24 packs of everything recently so I'm good for the foreseeable.
Moomin is having too much time to sit and think.. it is not doing her mental health any good but she will not engage with anyone.
OH IS BREATHING TOO LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, Kaz. I dug some guag up from somewhere in the depths, and I have cleaned the dining room, including removing all the black mould from around the patio door, and cleaned the bathroom. Also managed to prime the chest of drawers in part of its transformation from brown to white.DD opened a new pack of noodles for her lunch and they were black mould inside! Gross. I have set DH on the mission to complain to the manufacturer...I’m now going to pick some salad stuff from the greenhouse, and maybe potter a while.
Pigpen - didn’t OH sharpen his knives recently, or did I dream that? Just saying....😉!10
