Hi guys,
I have recently switched my gas and electricity over from EON to "British Gas X" which is an online only deal (no contact numbers). I used the MSE tool to make the switch which is due tomorrow and so far everything has been fine.
I am interested to know if anyone else has used this provider and if so, what have your experiences been? I have searched online for reviews and cannot find anything at all! There seems to be nothing on the internet about this company apart from the online account site that you sign into to manage your account.
Appreciate any input.

It's British Gas - not a new company.
The tariff is called British Gas X
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -

Thanks.
I am still a bit confused as to why there seem to be no reviews online for this service. This tariff is not included on British Gas' main website, it has its own dedicated site.
Perhaps I am missing something.0 -

I've been trying to keep an eye out for a few months to see what British Gas's plan with 'X' is
If they have a website set up, please could someone post a link?
Found it: https://www.britishgasx.co.uk/0 -
I took out this tariff a few months ago, as it offered "free" Homecare boiler cover as part of the deal. However, the Homecare cover isn't worth the paper it's written on. There is a £99 excess charge for each call out and there is no annual boiler inspection included. None of this is obvious when taking out the deal but I was told it's in the small print. I tried to arrange an annual inspection by BG for the standard £85 charge but was told I'd have to cancel my Homecare contract to do this. In the end, I took out another Homecare contract for £15 a month and cancelled the "free" one.0

That's not with British Gas X... that's with the normal British Gas.

Hi, I assume British Gas X is part of British Gas, their accounts, directors and secretaries have an odd look about them.
I went with British Gas X as a recommendation from the money saving club, I was with Octopus previously. I have tried in vain to contact them via their ''web chat'' . I have tried 2 or 3 times a day, every day, for the past 3 and half weeks. ''Normal'' British Gas do not want to know. Does anyone know of any alternative means of contact. British Gas X updated the customers web page a few days ago and have now removed the web chat button/link on my page, so not sure how I make contact now.
For those who have changed to British Gas X, a question. My previous supplier, Octopus, put in smart meters and the remote digital read-out. Did your previous suppliers put in smart meters and have British Gas X acknowledged this and are they using them. British Gas X have emailed me to advise my bills will be estimates unless I send readings but the smart meters I have do not appear to have read-outs and the remote digital display only shows the money value of energy used (using supplier for both gas and electric by the way) and I cannot find anything on the menu for energy use. Octopus have emailed advising they are still waiting for British Gas X to confirm their opening reading and when it was taken so they can send me their final bill.0 -

My switch to British Gas X was due to complete on the 10th April. I was asked to submit open meter readings yesterday, which I did, but received an e-mail this morning to say they cannot complete the switch as my gas meter is not compatible.
I'm in a new build house, which is just over 7 months old, so something is not right. I'll try and start an online chat with them and see what's going on.
