So pleased to see so many have moved to final offer- massive congratulations 🎊🥂🥳🎉Ours probably not dissimilar to many has been quite a long process 😞
It started with first phone call in April, now 11 weeks since application went in. So very much hoping that this is “the week!”……….. although I’ve been saying that for over 5 weeks now.
plesse keep your fingers crossed for us xxxxx0 -
Hi All,
Great thread. I am also awaiting my bluestone Mortage but feel sick as for me the process has been 3 months as my broker recenently sent my Mortage application is. I was a limited HGV Driver but switched for PAYE as I was ill advised over the internet to go PAYE over LTD... Looking to buy first house with help to buy
Timeline
- DIP Received
- Submitted documents to the broker, payslips, bank statements etc..
- submit information to solicitors
- Bluestone wanted information clarity on where the gifted deposit was coming from and child arrangements (me and the mother are separated) they wanted to know where the children would live????
- Valuation completed Friday
I noticed on credit report they did checks in May (broker made me wait for payslips before submitting 3 months worth)
So really nervous, just on edge but this thread has been great! my question is if they are unhappy would they have said something now or do they still run more checks if they have done the valuation like would they do the valuation at say 30%worth of checks or more towards the end
thanks all0 -

@canonman our valuation was done once documents were written off by underwriter. I gathered from this thread that when u get to valuation u are almost there.0

Thanks for this. Fingers crossed.
They came back today wanting to know why my employer did not have a business domain email address, he just uses a free one such as Google.
Feel so nervous.0 -

People that have had an offer..... how long after you had your offer did your Solicitor receive their copy? We had our copy through via our Mortgage Advisors Portal on the day we were offered (last Friday) but as of yesterday my Solicitor still hadn't received their copy. x0

Get your broker to chase up.
I cant recall if the offer gets added to something like lender exchange or lms - which means the solicitor needs to log in to check. But get your broker to chase up and find out.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Just wanted to add a note here to say, I'm coming to the end of my 2 year fixed rate with Bluestone (my original posts are way back in this thread). I'd like to publicly say that we was in such a bad state financially and they were the only lender to take a chance on us - yes we had to jump through the mountain of silly requests, yes it took ages to approve and get the offer and yes I was the most stressed Ive ever been.
But we only had ourselves to blame and and I'm so glad we stuck with it and trusted the process, despite the tears and frustrations and nearly losing the new house because the buyer wouldn't wait any longer. Bluestone took the chance and in these last 21 months we've not only stuck to the plan, we're debt free AND we are ready to remortgage and just been accepted with a highstreet lender saving us over £700 a month (even with an interest rate hike)!!!
So hang in there everyone, it is worth it!!!!
PS I dont work for bluestone, I just cant believe there is light a the end of the tunnel from debt, worry and stress!Looking to remortgage December 2022 onto a better rate!2
