  • Now waiting to book valuation! Aside from if the house is worth it , does this mean it’s pretty much a go ?

@lhollingworth89 from what I’ve read in the group it means your 99% of the way there. I had my valuation last Tuesday and now they’re requesting employee references. Apparently that’s all they need now. Some people it just goes straight to offer 3 days later.

Thanks. How long does valuation take from making payment?

That depends on when they can get to the property to value it. They tend to book it 2-3 days after payment.

Roughly about two months ago now.. it’s been a long slog !! But they’ve valued our house at double what we want to borrow so fingers crossed we should be done with!

We have finally received our offer.
It took 6 weeks to get the application in, and a further 9 weeks to get to offer.
During that i have sent, answered and proven more than i ever could imagine having to do.
Yes Bluestone are thorough, but with us, it went to the extreme, and our MA wasn't on the ball so weeks were lost where things were ignored, overlooked, or delayed.
This forum helped me alot, seeing other experiences, so i've added our timeline, which spans 4 months, and i don't want to put anyone off with it, but its a good example of worse case scenario, and that you shouldn't give up hope. You'll get there in the end.

    08/01- dip requested
    09/01- offer made on house
    12/01- dip received from bluestone
    18/02- application submitted to bluestone
    08/03- initial underwrite
    21/03- valuation instructed
    29/03- valuation cancelled
    01/04- valuation rebooked
    05/04- valuation
    06/04- final underwrite
    21/04- finally an offer

    good luck everyone.
