Oh no - what are they asking for? They’ve asked about my children - how many and ages etc 🙄Fudgecake3 said:Amazing news for some of us! BS still requesting documentation here 😩0 -
Rent statement - letter from landlord, asking why we took out car insurance then paid it off in full, why our rent payment in November was less, even though I explained we got 2 weeks free at Christmas 😩 it’s never ending!0

Oh god - why are they asking about last November?? 😩 wow they really do go to town!! I’m dreading what they’ll ask for next...Fudgecake3 said:Rent statement - letter from landlord, asking why we took out car insurance then paid it off in full, why our rent payment in November was less, even though I explained we got 2 weeks free at Christmas 😩 it’s never ending!0 -

Hi all! I'm wondering if there's anyone on here with similar circumstances as us and been successful (driving myself mad with worry). We have a DIP, so I know they are ok with my adverse credit, but what I'm really worried about is then looking at my bank statements and failing it because we never have money left at the end of the month. In reality, its because we have had a lot of expense this year, but its all non-essential expenses (2 weddings, holiday, a couple of breaks away).
The mortgage repayment is £500 more than my current rent, and I'm panicking that the underwriters will think we can't afford the repayments although I know that we can!
We are also using a gifted deposit so have no proof of been able to save.
Anybody in same situation?0 -
Hi. We are similar, we dip into our overdraft (arranged) regularly and our mortgage payment will be more than double what we pay already. Not big savers either.Kotismama said:Hi all! Anybody in same situation? When I submitted my bank statements I was mortified the amount of Amazon, take aways, Costa, retail etc was on there!! This is all disposable income though and can be reigned in. I got asked questions about some of my standing orders, I pay £20 a week into a savings account for holidays, £15 a week to a Christmas savings but I just had to explain what they were. I wasn’t knocked on affordability at all.I’ve just had my valuation done and going to final underwrite so not out the woods yet.. but will let you know if anything comes up.0 -
Thank you so much for this info, I might get some sleep tonight now! Getting this mortgage would literally be a dream come true but I can't shake the feeling that it's all going to go wrong.Willowlou said:

I’ve not slept for nearly 4 weeks 😂 I feel the same, expecting it to go wrong at any minute! When the requests start coming in for further information or documents try not to panic.. you get through it. From what I’ve read on here, Bluestone make you work hard for it. It’ll be worth it if we get a good outcome 😊Kotismama said:

It is such a nerve wracking time! They’ve come back a few times on mine - but nothing too major....yet!! Altho they do seem to be taking longer on mine! Mines a remortgage - paying off debt and going on to a lower rate! I’m constantly in our overdraft - they’ve not mentioned that yet! I do worry with the bank statements - what they’ll question and just want them to get on with it and ask as they’ve come back 3 times now, with different things, which really they could have asked in one go! Fingers crossed for everyone 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼0

I had 3 lots of questions, then after submitting last lot of documents it went to valuation the same day. 🤞yours gets past initial underwrite in next few days.Kerrylou2 said:It is such a nerve wracking time!
