Glad I’ve found this post. Due to certain circumstances we are having to go with bluestones.. it’s been months (February) since our application was put through and they keep asking for more and more details. The valuation was done two weeks ago and still awaiting an offer. Final underwrites asked for more details regarding our employments. It’s driving us mad as agents and vendors are chasing us up every day as this is all that is holding us back. It’s so stressful. I hope whoever mentioned bluestones holding money for completion has sorted it as I can’t imagine how stressful that is... I hope they don’t do that with us as if we delay the process after exchanging then we encur a charge 😫0

Been about 13 weeks now . Had valuation weeks ago , final underwrite come back saying affordability off ( it wasn’t but we jiggled a few things round to accomadate ) 2 weeks later underwriter come back with exact same sentence ( affordability of ) even though it isn’t ! This went on for 6 weeks ( previously to that weeks of requesting one document at a time ! Eventually thank god the actual bluestone business development manager turned up at my Packager in Person and reviewed my case , as we all knew he clarified the case was fine and directly called the underwriter to proceed to offer .. now it’s just a waiting game how long that will take ! It was Thursday evening he instructed the office . Just thank god he turned to because this pacific underwriter was obviously convinced he was correct and refused to even re assess the case it seems . Anyway , point of this is VIDA Homeloans are now back on the market , have very similar tolerances . Allow up to 3 CCJ and defaults etc .. my MA said there’s much quicker and if you go to there website they give updates time frames everyday at each stage . Also, you MA can deal direct with them as no packager needed and Rates are slightly better . If anybody is not to far into the process with bluestone I suggest you take a look at VIDA. Because bluestone seem 12 weeks minimum just to get an offer .0

Did you know that each packager has an allowance every month. You might be delayed just because packager is holding until they can submit. My mortgage advisor was wise to this and jumped packagers saving 2 weeks!

Mortgage offer after Valuation Completed.
Can anyone who is with Bluestone advise how long after the valuation being completed it took for them to receive the mortgage offer an whether or not they got it via email then post etc.
We've just had the seller contact us to say the valuation was completed in 10 minutes and the chap said it was fine so I'm hoping Monday or Tuesday next week.
What are other peoples experiences?0 -
In all honesty I would recommend our MA really reasonable rates and he really worked hard for us he is Kevin Owen and his contact is k.owen@tmwm.org.uk - reliable, efficient and hard working He got this through for us with minimal fuss although we still had the same waiting around due to bluestone delays0
