I've been following this thread since February when our mortgage app was put in.

    Application went in 15th Feb.

Unsure of valuation date 🤷🏼‍♀️ I assume they did it online, not been told anything?

    Offer 19th July.

We are buying the house we live in. (bought partners sisters half).

It took us so long due to a name error on my partners father's will. Yes... we've been dealing with a name issue for the past 9 weeks!!! Other than that major inconvenience, they wanted the usual documents, bank statements, pay slips, reasons for adverse history on partners side.

So anyone still waiting on offer & losing all hope...hang in there!!!

Gosh all this silence kills me! Full application went in last Monday Thursday they came back with questions my packager already had answers too so now they’ve been sent back, the painful 3-4 working day wait is well under way as it’s hopefully going to the underwriters after this!! How long once with underwriters did it take to get your offer? What questions if any were asked or any processes my brain is fried worrying all the time!!

The waiting is so frustrating but worth every document you send back and forth. I think it's different for everyone but ours went to underwriters 8/6 and our valuation was instructed last Monday 12/7 after sending in one last document.
We've been told as soon as valuation report comes back and all is OK then we'll receive our offer within a few days (no idea when the valuation took place though as we're not using an estate agent)
  • Hi everyone, I’ve been following this forum for some time and have finally started the process with bluestone and have a DIP. I have literally read every post on this thread!! It’s very useful! Seems I have a long way to go!
  • So after radio silence for 10 days I just had a surveyor knock on my door asking for the keys to the house we are trying to buy.  Why would I have keys to a house I don’t own?!  At least it has let me know we are at the survey stage I spose.  Could anyone advise on what would happen next/timescales.  We are HTB
May I ask how long it took for you to get the Authority to proceed with H2B?

It only took about 2 days I think.  It was pretty quick and painless.  Which surprised me as I’d convinced myself i must have done something wrong on it 😂

That’s not too bad! We have a packager so it goes bluestone to packager to my MA to me 😂 but last communication was once questions had been answered it would go underwriters so I’m praying for some more good news any day now, hopefully by Wednesday/Thursday!! Not sure how long the wait times are when it goes underwriters but I know the initial assessment is 3-4 working days did they ever tell you how much between questions with underwriters etc it took to review? I’ve already told my LL to expect communication from them for a reference within a month or two, our home is almost fully finished, just kitchen and flooring to go down supposed to be September completion for it but I think it’ll be ready by august and I’m dreading it!

When any documents were sent back or we were asked questions  our broker told us there was a 4.5 day wait for the underwriters to assess things but that this wait was going down by half a day each day. Our last bit of paperwork sent back (around 2 weeks ago) only took them 2 days to assess then they instructed the valuation so I'd of thought things are even quicker by now 😁
