Wow thats ba of him. Others have said on here recently that you can use your offer for someone else and just get a new credit check and valuation done so hopefully they are correct and you cab do the same and find somewhere better soon. Best of luck

I dont blame you, this process really takes it out of you without all the added issues on top with the house. I'm sorry it never worked out for you. I hope something much better comes along and you can maybe get a lender with better rates too then.

Anyone please help, everything's been fine with our paperwork apart from now as partner and myself have just moved in together as his dad sadly passed they are saying without tax credits it isn't affordable? But I don't get them now its gone over to universal credit my Partner and myself get 4k a month between us I cannot imagine we would be entitled? So how do we earn too much to recieve universal credit yet cannot afford a £950pm mortgage with 4k earnings and no out goings what so ever?
The house is 300k
We are htb so 60k
Deposit 100k

We are only borrowing 140k?

This is more than affordable we do not understand.

Got my full offer today after valuation last Thursday! Only 5 weeks since it was all submitted, actually cannot believe it 🥳😬! Fingers crossed for everyone still waiting!

So after radio silence for 10 days I just had a surveyor knock on my door asking for the keys to the house we are trying to buy.  Why would I have keys to a house I don’t own?!  At least it has let me know we are at the survey stage I spose.  Could anyone advise on what would happen next/timescales.  We are HTB

How odd! We're at the same stage but we've had radio silence since we paid for our valuation. Some people on here have had their written offer within a few days or a couple of weeks from valuation so hopefully you won't have to wait much longer 🤞
