My packager already did the valuation before even submitting our application to Bluestone so literally have no idea of what's good what's not, heard today saying its now with the underwriters even tho we believed it was already with them, so don't even know what we are waiting for
Not sure if you have seen this before - you will likely follow the same process without the valuation part being needed.
Thank you lovely so whatvstage do you believe I'm at please? The email today said

We are pleased to confirm that your customer(s) application has been passed to the underwriting team for assessment.

Unfortunately the SLA's are not great at the moment with Bluestone and are working on 13 working days. Hopefully this will reduce and I will let you know when I receive an update.

  • We had our offer today 🎉 relieved & overwhelmed would be an understatement!

Hi, if the seller is required as part of my mortgage offer to do work prior to me buying the house and he then increases the house cost to cover the repairs (which I would agree to ) will it mean starting over again with bluestone or will they just add the extra 2 grand in and carry on 😓
I think we were told if we needed to increase that it would require the process to start again as it would change everything to do with affordability etc.... But definitely worth clarifying. We are due to complete tomorrow!

For anyone interested… this is our timeline

    AIP - 28/04/2021

    House reserved - 07/05/2021

Application to bluestone fully submitted - 25/05/2021

    Further document requested - 02/06/2021

    Valuation completed - 10/06/2021

Further bank statements requested - 18/06/2021

    Offer received 29/06/2021

Exactly 5 weeks to the day from being fully submitted to offer received

Wow that’s actually a really good time line. They’ve requested documents 3 weeks running from us.

Well done on completion, fingers crossed for the rest of us 🤞🏻
  • Ok so after a melt down then some Googling and a few phone calls here and there, it seems that all I need is a damp and timber report and a wall tie report. Wording wasn’t clear on the valuation plus I’m quite sure that connells have just added that on cos the house is 1920 but anyway. Who pays? Me or seller, I  am guessing me. My previous comments implied the house was requiring major work (which is what it sounded like) but I think it’s just surveys and remedial work? Anyway does anyone know how much such a survey would cost? Anyone else needed one and what was the process please guys. X

That sounds a bit more positive.. im not sure about what you need but I'd maybe post it on the house buying and selling forum and perhaps even call the surveyors and ask if they know where you can get that done.
