Hi, we are with the underwritiers, we were with simply BUT got asked by barratts to go with their recommended so we are now using the mortgage store as our broker but they go through a packager, the packager had our application for a good 3-4 weeks requesting every piece of info we could ever think of.. way more than we imagined they would but it's with the bluestone underwriters  we are putting 160k down borrowing 140k and paying back 400k wowww I know lol we are expected to hear next update tomorrow, reason for using bluestone is IVA.. but it's now just been settled early what are our chances please? So scared tomorrow will be a decline

If we don't get anything by today or tomoro latest my dads going to need to pay the mortgage off to his lender with his money and I really don't want him to have the hassle of that 🤞

Hi All! Some of you may remember that we were declined by Bluestone towards the end of April!?

Although obviously bitterly disappointed, I approached Simply who took us on to try again. Long story short, they succeeded and today we moved in to the house that we wanted!

Our timescales were 17 weeks of more downs than up - 9 weeks to go through the process with a MA who ultimately failed despite consistently insisting it was in the bag - 8 weeks from contacting Simply to moving in!!

My only advice is to make sure that you go with Simply or other recommendations on this thread. For those that are struggling for information or don’t know at what stage they’re at - that’s unacceptable. Simply have a good working relationship with Bluestone and it’s worth it’s weight in gold. I was kept fully informed at every step, they answered all my questions, they were professional, robust and honest.

it still feels surreal at the moment, however it was an unbelievable feeling to get the call that we could collect the keys.

    Good luck to everyone!

That is amazing news! I'm so worried we'll be declined as our landlord has now served us notice and we don't have long to either rent somewhere else or complete on this house! We've been waiting since April and it's getting harder each week not knowing anything.

Only you or a court can end the tenancy, read the pinned post in the homebuying and renting section.
We've been served with a section 21 notice? and the landlords excuse is that she needs to do work in the house and it can't be lived in. We've got until 29th October but have been told by the agent that our notice needs to be given in no later than sep 29th. We've lived here for 20 months.

S21 is only a notice they may seek to commence court proceedings to end the tenancy. Only the court and you can end it. Please read the pinned post and if in doubt put a post up in the renting section, also say what work needs doing on your rental if you do put a post up.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

My partner had an IVA settled early last year, we have 25% deposit and we have now got our offer. Keep positive :)

Does anyone know on Bluestones website where it says 'Assessing fully packaged cases on 14th june' is that the day it was all submitted by the broker or the day it went to underwriting?

As far as I understand it, it means that today they are starting work today assessing cases that were fully submitted with all required documents on the 14th of June.
