Those of you who have just had offers are there any special conditions? Ie increase deposit or reduce outgoings etc
We had a big deposit and affordability was fine. I own another house with my ex which I can’t sell or get out of so that was one of the things that held us up but because our affordability was ok even taking that into account it was ok. We were however offered 5 years fixed instead of 2 but we were ok with that. Some of our deposit is gifted so I’m expecting the legal requirements everyone else has had for that.

We had a few conditions mainly down to solicitors but we had our girftor to seek independent legal advice regarding gifting,

@Foreverwaiting123 but nothing about affordability or rates we were fixed for 2 years but did have a £65,000 depot on a £170,000 house
  • My house is only 75000 and I’m putting 15000 in so it’s not a large mortgage. Single parent though
