Hi all
I've been following for quite some time silently because it's been such a bumpy ride for us.
Dip : 30th April
Numerous documents handed over as expected but this Dip was just in my husbands name as I am almost 3 years after DRO (4/8) and I didn't have over 1 year of books (self employed)
Bluestone asked for gifted deposit form to be signed etc by my mother as some of the deposit is gifted (got a solicitor to say where the money was coming from as he's dealing with my late grandmother's estate)
Radio silence for 3 weeks then requested some more information.
21/5 bluestone demanded that I was to go onto the mortgage aswell because I was paying the majority of the deposit from inheritance. Even though I was also asked to sign a form of declaration they then changed their mind!
24/5 DIP NUMBER 2! (In both our names)
Bluestone raised the interest rate from 4.29% to 7.94% even though we have 25% deposit and a healthy income (the issue is my Dro though) and said that it would need to be done 'in-house' rather than with a packager because there would be a clause that we can not complete until 4/8 due to dro.
27/5 fully submitted
3/6 asked for more recent bank statements as so much time had passed. Also asked for court papers to say my DRO was discharged in 2018.
Our broker told us 6/6 it's with underwriters and if they don't need anything else they'll instruct the valuation.
I'm losing the will at the moment because they said me not being on the mortgage was OK (I've also read others in similar situations) and to have me sign all the papers and then change their mind was just a massive blow! Keeping optimistic because it's all I have left 😂1 -
Our timeline incase it’s useful to anyone:
DIP 15/03
app with packager 26/03
app to Bluestone & valuation paid 09/04
additional documents requested 13/04
additional documents requested 27/05
valuation instructed 04/06
valuation 11/06
offer 🎉 15/06
46 working days from submitting to Bluestone to offer and NO hard search for either me or partner! I obsessed about that for weeks lol1 -
@Sevendoorsdown I always thought if you were married it had to be joint x0
