@Jen271626 can you ask the solicitor to speak to the mortgage advisor? I think ours talked in the early application stages. Have you done your searches yet or are you waiting for the offer?
  • Has anyone been asked as part of their offer to have a deed of gift indemnity policy in place before completion and how much did it cost ?

My solicitor is going to email him for an update. I don't think hel get one either. Its infuriating as he was amazing, then suddenly it all changed. He cant answer my simple "any updates" but is on Facebook replying to people on a self employed forum offering his services saying he's available to chat.  I just want him to keep me informed or manage my expectations, so I know when to expect an update. Its mental to me to be so unhelpful as surely he must realise people won't take insurance products with him or stay with him for renewals for the next 30 years when he is ignoring simple requests for info and there is no transparency.

Not at this stage yet but I’ve asked and yes apparently it’s a requirement. Don’t know how much it costs think it’s just a short solicitor appointment and a letter but others might know more.
