  • We had the underwriter query a couple of transactions on our bank statements this morning and we have responded already. Hoping it isn't now in another long queue. Has anyone had a quick valuation instruction at this stage? I am trying to remain optimistic, i should be a relatively easy case. 15% deposit from sale of house not self employed
    Hi,

I instructed my valuation on the 9th April but bluestone have not been able to arrange it with the vendor so I am still waiting so if your vendor is on the ball then it should happen within the week

Fingers crossed for you that you get your valuation done soon, Once it was with the under writers did they ask any additional questions. If so how long did it take to get from there to instructing the valuation?
Everyone seems to vary to a degree..we answered underwriter queries on 30/03..radio silence since then!

Did you all need to go down to your landlord's address to have them complete the reference? We've been told that its needs to be filled out by them and a 'wet' signature.

Its going to be awkward as well, seeing as we've not told them that we're looking to buy and effectively leave the tenancy.

We had to get the letting agent to complete a form..we then scanned and sent it..then put the hard copy in the post..but yes..it does force your hand in regard to your tenancy agreement

We have sent over the payments only for now and informed our Broker we were concerned about the reference as if we are turned down for the mortgage e may ask us to leave?!?!?!

I have a feeling they will be asking for it regardless though...

this is what we were concerned about, however told our landlords and was just upfront about it, they were fab about it. But out MA has said they won’t be contacting them
